Vincent Kessels Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Hi, This is my latest modular 'building': the Building Site. I've made this in one evening during Legoworld. (Sleeping at home does have its benefits...) Because of some suggestions i've added the sewage pipes and the broken up pavement. Here are some pictures of the Building Site in different layouts. lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Even though it's small, it's packed full of detail.....partly laid wall, frame work, etc.,. Excellent work 'VK' and Brick On.....so to speak ! Quote
eurotrash Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I like it a lot! Very successfully done and I this would be a great addition to anyone's town. Quote
Wodanis Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Very cool and fits in nicely with the modular buildings Quote
timmyc1983 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 This is a really great idea and very well executed. I love all the details you've included and it works really well in the layouts! Great work and happy building Quote
Hobbythom Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Hi Vincent! Really nice build. I like how the offset placing of the frame work really makes it look like the walls are being build around the beams. Really cool. One suggestion: a dixie toilet behind the house perhaps? Quote
gazumpty Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 This is a fantastic idea for a City layout...and even in a small build, the attention to detail is excellent. I wouldn't want to be the min-fig's union representative though...he won't be a happy worker!! Having to deal with the groundworks, block-work, timber-kit, brick-work and drainage single handedly :D Amazing work :) Quote
Kivi Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 An interesting and realistic concept, and as the others have said, a great addition to any city layout. Maybe it only needs another minifig or two doing some other work, but it looks great nevertheless. Quote
paostmo Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Very well done! I'd love to see how it would look after another week of construction. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Wow what a great origial idea! Quote
Man with a hat Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Nice. Simple idea but brilliantly done. Quote
Jody Meyer Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 yup, nice and simple, something you would see in the town for sure. Quote
Kristel Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The details in this building site are just fantastic. Love it!! Quote
Dat Lego Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I don't really like the look of the broken pavement, but on the other hand everything else looks great! Love the sewer pipes. Keep up the good work 'Vincent Kessels'! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 It looks interesting to see how you start building your modulars, Vincent. Considering that this building will never be finished, it's great to see some of the details in construction. The pipes are a great detail, and the pile of ''bricks'' and timber frames as well. Quote
MasterRyzon Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 WOW! Amazing how a simple idea can be a great build. Quote
