VKTechnic Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I'm back with another Triple WIP! This time, my models are centered around an arctic theme, the first model being an arctic truck. Here's the chassis at it's current state: The other two models will be revealed later, so stay tuned! Feedback is always appreciated Quote
Rishab N Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Looking good! Is it driven by two motors? Quote
VKTechnic Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 Looking good! Is it driven by two motors? Indeed it is. Quote
Junpei Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Looking promising so far! Are you going to compare your two entries and enter the one you prefer? Quote
Doc_Brown Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Very nice, but how do you overcome the 2 M motors on one channel problem? With my Rolligon I could not have 2 M motors and instead used 2 L ones. They just seem to glitch and stop working. Quote

That I think is some sort of issue with the V2 receiver and M motors: http://www.technicbricks.com/2012/11/lego-power-functions-incompatibilities.html Quote
gsia17 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Good chassis! I want to see another two model P.S when you used two motor on one channel, you must apply V1 receiver. Quote
VKTechnic Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 Good chassis! I want to see another two model P.S when you used two motor on one channel, you must apply V1 receiver. I don't have any V2 receivers yet so that shouldn't be a problem. Quote
Rockbrick Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 V2 works ok with two L motors on one channel on the 9398 - is this issue with the M motors only? Quote
Doc_Brown Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 That I think is some sort of issue with the V2 receiver and M motors: http://www.technicbr...tibilities.html WOW, thanks for that, cheers! I Don't want my M motors to "sing" lol I don't have any V2 receivers yet so that shouldn't be a problem. Glad you have V1, and won't have any problems. Good luck! Quote
Rishab N Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Looks great! What;s the gear on the back for? Quote
kermit Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Looking good so far. Do you plan on putting a plow on it? Quote
VKTechnic Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Looks great! What;s the gear on the back for? It's the switch for the battery box. Looking good so far. Do you plan on putting a plow on it? No, but that is an idea... Quote
Phoxtane Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 As far as I am aware, which isn't quite a lot, Artic vehicles tend to be painted bright colors for better visibility. I'd like to see this in red or possibly orange Quote
Kronos Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Looks awesome! I like the gear to turn on the battery box, nice idea. Quote

timslegos Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 looks great! How did you get the angle on the columns for the roof? tim Quote

Thirdwigg Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I like it a lot. I love the size of those fenders, I think that tires are the perfect choice. Quote
Junpei Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Looks a lot like your land cruiser, and very true to the picture! How did you attach the parts for the windshield? Cut rigid tubing? Quote
lukeandahalf Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 That LC is from Iceland, not the arctic! Quote
