-SD- Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Hello to all.... I thought should finally introduce myself after lurking for a while. Amongst He-Man, Thundercats, Ninja Turtles, and Transformers, Lego was one of my most beloved toys as a child. I had a few of the original Space sets and some of the Pirates. The most notable ones I remember would be the 6285 Black Seas Barracuda, the 6990 Monorail and the nifty 'Light & Sound' 6770 Lunar Transporter. The last two kits I remember doing before my 'Dark Age' were the 8865 Test Car and the 8862 Backhoe Grader, which I recently discovered in my Mum's loft; I'm sure the Monorail remnants may be hiding up there too. And now here I am all these years later at 34, with two children, and probably more Lego than we have space for. I started my son off with the new 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty as I had such fond memories of my original pirate ship. Then we moved on to Ninjago and a few of the City sets, but as he's got older we've been building Technic and fiddling with Mindstorms. Over the last year or so we've built all of the larger sets I could find like the Unimog, 4x4 Crawler, Boss Crawler, Mobile Crane MkII, etc. Santa even has a Logging Truck stashed away somewhere..... My daughter is a huge Friends fan, and she's really looking forward to the new Princess range. Somehow, we've ended up with all the retail sets (other than 3942 for some reason), the happy little animals, and a couple of the promo bags. She spends hours playing with them, which makes me happy to see how creative she is. As for myself, I'm currently playing Lego City: Undercover and educating the boy with EV3. Quote
