Disco86 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) This is a little story I built for the LCC and the CCC over at http://www.classic-castle.com/ When Paul von Brickenstein escaped, his first thought was to get home as fast as he could. But when he reached the city of Durrough he met Dungrian and Duriel, who were on the run away from Lenfald. They told him that the city of Brickenstein was already conquered by the evil Queen's troops. So he decided to travel far west with his new fellows, to find a save city in the lands of Loreos. They were on the road, always in fear of being ambushed by the Queen's soldiers, when suddenly there was a insurmountable barrickade at the street. A creepy scream made their blood freeze and instantly a tribe of orcs was running towards the street. But to be honest, Paul von Brickenstein was really glad about that. A couple of orcs against three trained Lenfel warriors is just like some entertaining practice. After ten minutes the orcs were all dead, and they could continue their way to the far west... A couple of days later the fellowship reached the deserts of Loreos. The big walls of the city of Vadonia were glimmering in the heat at the horizon. When they had passed the city gates, they could feel the foreign vibe. The warm wind, the streets filled with strange looking folks and this different architecture. The weird aroma of unknown spices and camel dung surprised their noses, when a group of Loreesi soldiers crossed their way. Paul von Brickenstein instantly recognized, that it was the High Earl of Vadonia. They once fought against each other in the Battle of Vharenfell, but now they got the same enemy - the evil queen - so that the reunion was more pleasant than their first encounter. The High Earl offered them a bed to sleep and the possibility to fill up their supply. After a night full of joy Paul and his freinds had to move on. The High Earl gave them some weapons to support other Loreesi troops and they left the western gate into the desert... On their way westwards they they came across an oasis and wanted toget some water for the horses and themselves. But there was already a competitor, who has build up a tent and was enjoying the taste of some herbs in his pipe. His two fellows ran over to Paul von Brickenstein's Cart with there swords ready to use. Fortunately the leader of the merchant group was in a friendly mood. RbT: Ahmad, Ali, hold on ! Then he stood up and walked over to our Lenfel merchant group. RbT: Hello foreign man, nice to meet you. My name is Ramazan bin Tiben, what is your aim in my territory ? And where do you come from ? PvB: Hello, my name is Paul von Brickenstein and we travelled the far way from Lenfald to find a save place to reunite our troops. RbT: So you are a group of warriors or merchants ? PvB: Well, we got some goods for trading with us, but our main profession is fighting. RbT: Oh good to hear that. So we have a lot in common. And actually I really need your service. We are on an adventure to find a treasure in the mountains near Toberg. It would be helpful to have some more swords on our side, because there seems to be something dangerous in these mountains. Maybe you want to come with us, then we will be save for a long time. And after our journey you may go over to Morastius Renu to reunite the Lenfel troops. What do you think about that ? PvB: Sound good in my opinion. Adventures are always what we are seeking for. But what about that treasure ? May we get our half and is it worth it ? RbT: Be sure it is. Let's feed your horses and start our journey. PvB: Yes, let's do this, this will be an interesting group. After some hours they rode to the northwest, heading towards Toberg. They travelled three days, when they reached the mountains behind Toberg. It was late in the evening, and the light was fading away. Then they suddenly saw the enlighted entrance to a cave just about half a mile away. Ramazan bin Tiben told them, this may be the cave they are searching for. And so they climbed up to the entrance. Inside the cave was an enchanting pulse of light in the water on the ground, that refelected on the cragged walls. Everything was full of bones, even under the surface of the water. Then Paul von Brickenstein saw the treasure in the corner, full of diamonds and gold it was sparkling and glimmering. But there was one problem, Ramazan told them that the cave was cursed, so that everyone coming into it, would stay in there and would never leave. All the skeletons around them have been adventurers who starved to death while being enchanted by the light. Fortunately there was a solution, Ramazan confessed that he is a magician and that he could stop the curse. Even if magic was not that popular these days in the lands of Roawia, the party of Brickenstein was glad not to die in this cave. The gold was shared and packed and then Ramazan started his magic spell. Suddenly it became dark and they ran out of the cave as fast as they could. When they passed the entrance again, the glowing came back, but all of them made it and none was left. Edited November 10, 2013 by Disco86 Quote

TheLegoDr Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Great story. Great builds. The lighting is neat at the end. Each scene works well with the story. Do you tend to write the story first and then build after, or change the story to better fit your builds? Keep up the great work. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Love the mocs and great story! How did you get the last moc to light up? I love the detail and may just use it myself one day (imitation is the best form of flattery right?) Quote
