So I would like to ask if anyone has ever created a Motorised Linkage before? Because I need to build one for my Coursework Model and I'm wondering if there's anything I need to know from the more experienced such as things that may inhibit the movement or any combination of two Mechanisms that would work

Thanks in advance.

The Page is from Sariel's Technic Book

I have not, but the issues that come up with non-motorized linkages will also be a problem with motorized ones. In particular, some linkages suffer from 'slop' - the small tolerances in Lego joints and the flexibility of each piece can add up to make the whole mechanism more 'floppy' than expected. The scissor lift in particular seems to suffer from this problem, since it has so many moving parts.

How are you going to do it then?

I have other kit pieces but I planned on modelling it first using technic pieces because that's what I'm most familiar with

The question is a little vague so it's hard for people to know what to say. Build something and if it has problems post a picture of it.
