Barduck Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Designed in only 2 days, building took a bit longer because of missing parts. Technicly I've based her on my Bigboy to make it myself a bit easier, then it was just a question of which details I would and could add to make her stand out in comparison to the Bigboy. She's powered by 4 medium PF engines. more pictures: http://www.flickr.co...157637411585803 Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Pretty good work. The Union Pacific still has one of these in North Platte, Nebraska, by the way. Quote
Barduck Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 I've yet to test her on switches but corners are no problem Quote
BrickSlasher Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Isn't the Big Boy a 4-8-8-4 or am I wrong? Quote
zephyr1934 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Looking good (of course now you need to build 50 hopper cars to drag behind, grin) Quote
Barduck Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Isn't the Big Boy a 4-8-8-4 or am I wrong? Yes she is. The Challenger was the bigboy's predecessor (4-6-6-4). When I said that I based her technicly on my Bigboy, I meant the way she's powered, etc. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Awesome job Barduck! I love seeing these giants brick built Quote
