BearHeart Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Does anyone know how many copies TLC produces of each set? Is it in the 1000s, 10,000s or 100,000.. or maybe millions? Its just a topic I've been wondering about for the last few days. Quote
Commander Wolf Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 If I had to guess, I'd guess in the hundreds of thousands... but that's based off the fact that the Maersk Sealand 10152 was supposed to be a "limited run" of seven thousand. Quote
Legoman Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 i wouls say at least hundreds of thousands.but it will be different for each set. eg.the battlepacks were very popular and now they are making millions. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I recently heard that the battlepacks are out of production. :'-( That explains why they arent in any stores anymore; just the other 4. Quote

Starwars4J Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 According to S@H they're just out of stock for another month... Quote
snefroe Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 i know they sold a million copies of HP's first castle set, i'm guessing even more classc xwings, but apart from that, no clues... Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm curious to know this myself. Does LEGO use the old batch method of producing product, where they make say...100,000, sell them, and then do another batch of 100,000, and so on? Or do they stick to the limited run method, where they make maybe 250,000, and once they're gone they're gone? If they did this they would have to produce enough the first time around to last them until the next collection of sets came out. Quote

Considering how S&H stocks out and restocks, I'd say they go with the old batch method of production. Quote
