kevin8 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Hello to everyone! On October 2011 I took a few minutes and built a little Halloween vignette. It was just a scared minifig escaping from an haunted house while a werewolf (where wolf?) and a Monster of Frankenstein were closing to him... I was a little satisfied by the result and my kid was very glad to see this decoration. www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/sets/72157631303561904/ Last year, I decided to rebuilt this vignette. In this case I decided to re-create the original on a 16x16 plate, adding details and minifigs. So the Haunted House became bigger, a new fence was made and a ghost was put coming out of the house. I built it as a modular building so I could add more parts each year. And built new parts. On the left a few witches were having a Sabba in a glade in a forest of skeletal trees... On the right side I put a cemetery with zombies and skeletons coming out from the tomb as in every good Halloween night... The final result was this: www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/sets/72157631825885956/ A few week ago I decided to add another 2 parts to this minidiorama. So, this time I created a swamp on the left. It has a similar skeletal tree and a tree trunk that can be taken as some kind of monster... The tree is like a closing, a boundary for this diorama... I created the swamp putting a trans azure 8x8 plate on lime green bricks, so you can see it's water, but not fresh. On the background I created a sort of landscape made of many skeletal trees... On the right side, I put the Crypt of Dracula... I think it was the right choice, being near to the cemetery... As for the tree on the swamp, the Crypt is a boundary for the right of the diorama... I built a Cypress tree to emphasize the closure... This is the final result.... I really enjoyed building it and displaying on my bookshelves... I hope you'll enjoy too... www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/sets/72157637121516956/ I don't know if I'll expand this Moc next year... I would like to add an Ufo while abducting a cow and a prairie with a Werewolf.... Quote
eurotrash Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Excellent! I like how you've shown the evolution of the MOC through the years. And I can't wait for next years version.... Happy Halloween! Quote
