I've seen them a few times, but rarely in Michigan (USA). I'm more likely top see a trailer frame and removable cargo boxes in 2 sizes similar to the cargo train set and Maersk set LEGO released a few years ago.

In Flint near the intersection of I-17 and I-69 there's usually huge gathering of train cars next to auto factories.

Very nice Impact Car Edsmith. I have been have been playing with this idea also but had to cut the trailer size down because it was bigger than the locomotive pulling it.

Thanks for the feedback! These cars are not as common as they use to be back in the 90's. Now you see the cargo container cars. Which I love build also. I might build another of these but my next project is boxcars, just looking for advice to start on these. I want more realistic boxcars, The lego ones are to short, I love the high cube boxcars!
