ToaJaller78 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) Found a new SD Gundam show on CN. Edited October 27, 2013 by ToaJaller78 Quote
Vraptor140 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Well, that's actually not related to Gundams. Tenkai Knights is produced in part by Spinmaster to sell their new brand of brick building sets. Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I saw an ad for the product based on this show on Cartoon Network recently. My dad was watching with me and thought that LEGO would sue the maker behind these toys. I reminded him that the LEGO brick patent expired, and that it was now legal for other companies to design their own LEGO-like construction products. By the way, the bricks in these toys are compatible with LEGO, according to the official Tenkai Knights Web site (5th question from the top). Has anyone bought Tenkai Knights? Is the quality anywhere near that of LEGO? -Toa Of Justice Quote
Junpei Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You can see that the plastic just screams quality:  Definitely not near Lego. Quote
Vindicare Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Ah yes, a crappy photo says it all. Save the vomit bag till you actually see it for yourself. Just because a building block toy isn't LEGO doesn't automatically make it crap. Quote
Junpei Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 The quality of the photo doesn't matter, you can just see the quality of the plastic... Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I think I can see where the quality of the molding and printing falls a little short. But what about the strength of the plastic? Do the limbs and joints have any strength to them, or are they very fragile? -Toa Of Justice Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) You people just think anything that is'nt LEGO is bad. That's sad. I love the Toys and Show. Edited December 1, 2013 by ToaJaller78 Quote
tomdobs55 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Jangbricks has done a review of a set from this line on his YouTube channel. He seems to like it. Quote
Faefrost Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Jhang bricks did a review of a set, and I believe The Brick Show did one or two. The sets struck me as sort of gimmicky with the "transforming bricks". Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) I own the Bravenwolf titan set, and its plastic is great quality. Don't let the glossy look fool you, so far it has proven its durability. P.S. I love the show, its the only thing I wake up early for on Saturdays. Edited December 2, 2013 by Merc4hire95 Quote

I saw these Jangbricks reviews: Based on what I've seen, I think the concept is innovative, but I think Spinmaster will need to work on these figures for a while (especially on articulation and part quality) before I'd consider buying them. In the meantime, I'll stick to the bricks I know I enjoy... Leg Godt! -Toa Of Justice P.S. I bet these pieces could be used to create better versions of Tenkai-style figures. Quote
