Thanks for the clarification. I don't own a gopro, but still very useful :)

On a side note, i once attached to a lego assembly the bit from a tripod, which screws to the bottom of a camera.

It looks something like that.

Not sure if a gopro has the same screw hole, but it could be used for normal cameras.

The GoPro doesn't have a screw hole, but there is special mount that allows a connection. It costs extra, though.
