Dilvish Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) Has anyone tried this game? It seems to support LDraw models. https://sourceforge....jects/brikwars/ I love games like X-COM, so this at first glance would seem like my dream game. I don't know how the controls are, or if there are things like destructible terrain or line-of-sight obstructions. The screenshots look a little crowded with minifigs so close to each other, and the quality of the graphics is very poor. Mike Edited October 25, 2013 by Dilvish Quote
kangmingjie Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I'm active on the Brikwars forums as I'm an avid fan of the game. My wife and I play regularly and have a great time. So, when I saw there was a version of the game available for PC, I was pretty excited. The game is very limited with what you can do. The sound effects are okay, the graphics are not that great and game play is nothing to write home about. Sometimes, when I'm really bored, I open up a file in LDD and play my own version of Brikwars by rolling dice while I move the minifigs around the model in the file. The Brikwars computer game is the same thing, just with "line of sight" capability and an automatic dice roller. The game could certainly use some beefing up. I had no idea it could support LDraw models, so I'll have to try it with that and see if its any better. All in all, I'd give it a 2/10. That part about me playing Brikwars by myself on LDD make me sound very lonely. Quote
Kommotion Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 It's too bad that the game is apparently lacking. I've been interested in BrikWars but never had anyone to play it with. Quote
