Hi all. This is my latest installment of my City named Georgetown. The construction crews are breaking ground to build 10211 and 10243 when I eventually acquire them. The babies and wounded minifigs came from Citizen Brick. My Hospital, Jewellery Shop (next to the Pet Shop) and Post Office are all MOC's and are still in progress, as the budget is always tight and parts are bought when I can afford it. I've also got a DeLorean on layby at my local supplier, so hopefully that will be rolling past my Town Hall and Cinema soon!! Finally, my tram is powered by Power Functions. The fit out was originally designed by legoman666 and is used with permission. (Thanks!!) My wife and kids just love the setup and we all have a good time playing around in the shed! :classic: More pictures are at the link http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=535319 Enjoy!

Awesome layout there, very impressive! Great mix of official sets and MOCs, I too really like the hospital and the farm is nice too! I like the construction site too and love how you've made the room for expansion...

Great work and I look forward to more updates :)

Thanks fellas! I'm pretty happy with my hospital and post office so far. Hopefully, between all my laybys and purchases, I'll have them both finished!

Looks good, a nice sized space you have as well, wish I had this room. It is good to see that the George Town is in flux with many mini-figures and vehicles going about their daily routines.

This looks very nice! I'm also jealous of the space, and would also be curious if there any negatives to using a shed? Does the temperature matter as far as LEGO bricks are concerened?

I have to keep the blinds drawn all the time, as the only windows face west and our afternoons in the spring and summer tend to get a bit warm, so there's potential for the bricks to fade. Also, having the roller doors open for an extended period does allow a lot of dust to settle on the pieces. The temperature does seem to remain fairly constant though. The space is quite handy and at times it becomes quite tempting to extend by adding more trestle tables!! I did have quite a headache deciding where to site my next modulars (when I can get my hands on them). In the end, I had to sacrifice creator set 4954 that was built as the school, to make the necessary adjustments to the layout. The school, however, will live on in my jewellery shop.

You could make two long wooden sticks with a large sheet of plastic in between to cover the layout when you're not watching or working on it.... It is practical and cheap!

Looks great!! Lots of space and opportunity to expand in the future...!!!

Hi there LegoTrainFanatic! The idea with the continuation of track is that it's the connection to the next town, as is the road butting up to the end of the tables in front of the Police Station and the service station. Unfortunately, the tram has exited the track here once before when the controls became unresponsive....!! :cry_happy: I like your thinking LegoSjaak. I have some plastice sheet that I do drape over the layout when I working in the shed, but I find it a bit impractical most of the time. Thanks for your thoughts LEGO Guy Bri!
