Meiko Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 As reported by Brickipedia (I posted it ), LEGOLAND is currently looking at putting a LEGOLAND park in Stafford County, Virginia, USA. Stafford is just north of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and is about 40 minutes to an hour south of Washington DC. Here is the original story: http://news.fredericksburg.com/newsdesk/2013/10/22/legoland-considers-building-theme-park-in-stafford-county/ And for a fun fact, I live in Stafford, Virginia, so if this ends up happening, it'll be really cool for me. BobSmithHello55 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Cool! That would be really cool for you! Quote
ep3_lol Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I'd have to check that out, much closer to me than Florida. Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) Edit: Nevermind. I thought this said "Lego Store" instead of "Legoland." Do they mean a full park, or just a Discovery Center? Edited October 23, 2013 by ResIpsaLoquitur Quote

Legogal Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Wow, just four or five hours from those of us in Raleigh depending on traffic...vote us in! Fingers crossed even though we know it is a very long shot and it would be closed probably 4-5 months of the year. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I hope the park gets made because I live in Charlotte, NC and the closest one is in Florida. Quote
Meiko Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 The closest one to me is also Florida right now, which remarkably I haven't gotten around to visiting. The only LEGOLAND I've ever been to was California, which was several years ago, before LEGOLAND Florida was even in the drawing boards. Quote
Brawl Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Hey, that's not too far away from Tennessee! Only 500 miles from where I live. Wait, actually that's about the same distance from here to Florida. >.> Quote
Lego Otaku Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Not too far from Michigan, compared to current parks. Quote
CP5670 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 This would be great. I've never been to a Legoland park, but Stafford is only about 45 minutes from here. Quote
