Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 28, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 28, 2007 That's an incredible collection! Must have cost a fortune and years to collect all these sets. Nice to see these pictures. Quote
Ras 74 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Who dug up those private pics of mine?? ;-) That for sure can be worth some. I think that this collector dosen Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 It's a good thing he includes his e-mail on that page, maybe someone who wants a set could e-mail him to work something out... Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 It's a good thing he includes his e-mail on that page, maybe someone who wants a set could e-mail him to work something out... Like this?"Gimme all your Lego, thats right, put it in the bag..." :-P Quote

Asuka Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Now we need a plan.... .... and a heroine. And some fast cars too of course. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Its depressing seeing all this super Lego tucked away in boxes :'-( Quote
5150 Lego Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Impressive. though that must have taken some incredible will power not to open any ot them up! But to be honest, i just really don't see the point. Though his collection is no doubt impressive, to me, lego is made to be enjoyed. Not sit in a box. Maybe his plans are to sell them all one day..... Maybe he plans to be buried with them :'-) Either way, there just wasting away down there. Quote
gylman Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Meh. Of course it's a lot of Lego, and there are some very special sets in there, but there are many collectors who have far more, and in better condition. It's a very spotty collection too. Lots of 1970's stuff, but unless I missed something, he has NO castle after the 375 era, and a relatively feeble Technic collection from the great 1980 sets in those lines. No Paradisa, and nothing other than Western from mid-1980s or later. Why anyone needs 5 copies of those 1970's town sets, I don't know. They have sentimental value, but Lego got better than that in the following years. If he was trying to show off, I'm not impressed. And it all looks so...... sterile. Lifeless. Not that I wouldn't make the trip to Italy to bring these home..... :-P Quote
Norro Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 It seems like a bit of waste... but they aren't mine so I have no say ;-) . Personnaly I feel Lego's best of times came later... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Norro Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 It's nothing compared to this! X-D I don't think I've ever seen one before... God Bless, Nathan Quote

Hobbes Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 hello! i have log in myself in eurobricks. anyone can help to use it?i hope to have time to explain my point of view about my lego world. thx to all regards PIER Welcome to EB, Pier! This is a message board, just post away like you already did. And maybe you'd like to introduce yourself at the "Hello, my name is..." forum :-) Quote
Ickelpete Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 That is an amazing collection but as others have said what is the point *wacko* you would not go into a top class resturant order the food and sit and look at it I dont understand how you can buy a set and not rush home and build it after all thats what it is designed for. Unless of course he bought 2 of everthing one to store and one to build Quote
Khorne Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 He has more Lego than me :'-( :-P . I don't really get the point of keeping MISB sets, sure you can brag about them, but there just boxes filled with plastic bricks gathering dust. Lego is only cool when you use it to build something :-) . Quote
Hobbes Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 Well, I don't want to anticipate since he just registered and maybe wants to tell his view but here's what he told me in an e-mail: i show in my little private vault onle the boxes i like. the others are stored and maybe one day i'll sell. if i have time i wanna explain all my future projects with lego: a 35 square meters 12v layout in a perfect 7777 idea book style and a lot of trees. So, he will use the sets one day ;-) ... on 35 square meters no less *wacko* Quote
