legolegolegolego Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I have a fairly new PC but encountered an error installing the new version of LDD that OpenGL was not a compatible version. After much searching, I found the Intel Driver Update Utility which checked the system and identified an updated graphics driver to install that fixed the problem. I thought I would post this information here. http://www.intel.com...ect?iid=dc_iduu - Michael Quote
grum64 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Hi Guys If like me you're using a laptop with an older display adapter (in my case an ATI Radeon HD 3400) and are having problems with LDD displaying correctly after installing Windows 8 try this: 1) Go into Control Panel 2) Click Device Manager 3) Click the arrow next to Display Adapters to populate the list 4) Right Click on your display adapter 5) Click Update Driver Software 6) Click Browse my computer for driver software 7) Click let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer You should now see a list of drivers 8) Click the one you believe to be the oldest and install it. 9) Close all open windows and start LDD. Hopefully all will be OK. While this worked for me (more through luck than judgement!) I can't promise it'll work for you but if you do choose to follow this you do so entirely at your own risk. Hope this helps someone. Happy Christmas to you All Grum64 Quote

Yes, you're right to point that out. Putting it in doesn't exactly inspire confidence it those with the same problem I was having who might be interested in trying it. I only included it to make clear that I'm no expert in these things & didn't want to come across as if I was. Thanks again, I appreciate you taking the time to write. Quote
