neoconagenda Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Apologies if this is misplaced: Is there any method to how Target and TRU stock their eBay stores with UCS sets? The free shipping is great and you get the eBay bucks as well but I find them to be hit or miss on the listings. In fact they list items on eBay that they dont have on their website. Quote
merman Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 How well did 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon sell? Considering a new movie is there any chance of a rerelease? Will the Death Star 10188 retire soon and what set will replace it? I heard rumors of a UCS AT-AT. Quote
Flieger Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Here's my custom CW Darth Sidious Minifigure: Head, torso, legs, and pauldrons from the CW Chancellor Palpatine minifig. Hood from the Series 7 Red Riding Hood figure. Robes from the Series 9 Judge fig. Feel free to use, just give credit. I suggest using the head from the EPIII Chancellor Palpatine fig instead of the CW one. Thanks a lot, that is a nice minifig, even though I am usually not a fan of textiles on Lego. (...which is why I am still looking for an adaequate torso print). Quote
Fulcrumfan91 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Hey everyone, I can't make this decision, it's just damn difficult. I need to choose which one of these two sets is the better one to get: 75021 Republic Gunship or the upcoming 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium. I can't for the life of me choose one of the two, I can only choose one as I can't afford both. So...which one should I choose??? I appreciate any help in this matter. Quote
Tjahzi Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Gunship is a fantastic set -and- recently retired. So pick up that one now, and you can still get the Shuttle when you can afford it in the future. Quote

The recent gunship having retired will get more difficult/expensive to get hold of, and is a really nice set. Not to mention you can save up in the mean time to get the shuttle which wont be going out of production for at least a year yet Quote
Fulcrumfan91 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Cool. Thanks guys for your input :) can't wait to get the gunship! Quote
nhalford Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) I'm sorry if this isn't the appropriate place for this, but I'm trying to Bricklink a 10179, and I've come across a small discrepancy in the piece count. The inventory on Brickset shows 5153 pieces, while Rebrickable says that there are 5195 pieces. What is the difference here—why does Brickset list 42 fewer pieces? What pieces are missing there? TheOneVeyronian Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I'm sorry if this isn't the appropriate place for this, but I'm trying to Bricklink a 10179, and I've come across a small discrepancy in the piece count. The inventory on Brickset shows 5153 pieces, while Rebrickable says that there are 5195 pieces. What is the difference here—why does Brickset list 42 fewer pieces? What pieces are missing there? Brickset's inventory is imported direct from LEGO's customer service inventory. This often can have discrepancies and missing parts (as in this case), so is not always the most reliable inventory source. May I introduce Bricklink's inventory of the set, the inventory that most people use when endeavouring to build their own 10179, which states it has 5,174 pieces (but it doesn't count minifig parts, which is 19 of them. Counting them and the one item of Gear that inventory lists, that brings the parts number to 5,194), thus I'd say out of the two, the Rebrickable inventory is correct. The 5,195th part is likely the minifig head listed in the extra parts section of Bricklink's inventory, but I'm not sure since I've never owned 10179 myself. Hope that helps Quote
saibot Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Will the Death Star 10188 retire soon and what set will replace it? I heard rumors of a UCS AT-AT. the new UCS Hoth playset that was rumoured ? Quote
Schneeds Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Isn't the 10188 Death Star the best selling lego set ever? I can't imagine they'd ever retire it as long as it continues to sell well. Quote
ExecutorBricks22 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Hello, I just wanted to show you guys an extremely AWESOME MOC, I found, the CSS-1 Corellian Star Shuttle. Take a look. Well, if you want my opinion I would pick the Imperal Tydirium Shuttle. I would pick this model because I love the original trilogy, but also there have been so many republic gunships already, so probably in the future LEGO will consider making it again. Just my personal opinion. Quote

Gremer Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Would 75058 MTT be a good purchase if I don't have either previous one and am not willing to spend $200+ on 7662? Quote
samlr Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Hello everyone, Does anyone have pictures where we can see the top of the rear (engine) section of the Redemption ? Idealy, the model used for the Star Wars movies ? I found several pictures, but either, it´s the Redeemer or it's custom creations and they dont match the original model ... It´s for designing a MOC. Thank you ! Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Hi. In my experience, I've found that finding studio models is kinda tough. I usually use a really good MOC if I have to. There's a few on here that may help. Quote
BEAVeR Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 This website features some excellent detail shots of a lot of the iconic Star Wars models. The Nebulon B is in there too, in the bottom half of the page, but the engine sections isn't directly visible. Still, it might be a good source for other parts of your creation. I also own the complete saga on Blu-Ray, and in the extra's there's an entire gallery of detail shots and 360 views of a lot of the models. I think that's copyrighted though, as I can't find anything about it online. I hope this information helps you to build an awesome creation! Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I've used this resource, but I don't know if it's the Redemption. Quote
Fuppylodders Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Would 75058 MTT be a good purchase if I don't have either previous one and am not willing to spend $200+ on 7662? Depends how much you really want it to be honest. I went on ebay to get 7662 knowing full well that 75058 would be out shortly because I think the newer one is rather lacking overall compared to the older one. The price was very reasonable too. I got lucky and paid £85 (inc p&p) for mine which included both instruction books and the box whereas the rrp new one is what, £90? Purely depends on your preference. After seeing the new one come out, it decided for me I'd either get 7662 or none of them. Quote
Kelso Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I could buy the Ghost and the Phantom for 106 euro. I love them in the show, I really do. But the sets just leave me wanting more, they are too small. And the design isn't as accurate as i'd like. Should I just go for them or wait for a new version in 2-3 years? (If they redesign it) Quote
Fuppylodders Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I would get them, if you can spare the money for them. Then look to modify the Ghost making it larger and more closer to what you would want it to be. The phantom is a neat little set as it is, I think. And while TLG are known for rehashing sets, I wouldn't like to make an assumption both of these will be redone in a few years time. Quote
hallonsylt Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Hi guys! Ever had a bad experience with buying used Star Wars sets on BL? I bought a 10018 (Darth Maul sculpture) some months ago. When I got the package I just quickly checked the content, it was quite dark in the room but bricks looked fine. Never had problems before, so why now? Well, I started building it today and as I build more and more I can see there are alot of bricks with dents, scruffs etc... There was even non-official Lego bricks -.- Now I think I'll just swap the non-official bricks, build the thing and sell it again on a swedish auction site. So, anyone experienced this before? Quote
rahservizi Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I only experienced missing pieces and minifigure on sets sold as used complete; I checked the package as soon as arrived, then contacted the seller that after a month( he had to buy the pieces and minifigure) sent me the missimg parts. All the pieces were in very good condition as he stated before the purchase when I asked him. Quote
samlr Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 @Bob De Quatre : yes this is the Redemption. The Redemption is a EF76 Nebulon B which has been modified to be used as a medical ship. It´s also the one you see in the movies. I had part of thoses pictures but no all. Some are going to be very useful ! Thank you ! (PS : I know your cat loves Legos but I dont remember seeing your version of the Nebulon B ?) @BEAVeR : That's a great website ! I am going to bring some corrections thanks to those pictures. I didn't think about the complet saga on blu ray. I own it to, it's somewhere in a box ... Anyway, thank you ! @GuyDudeMan27 : I'm trying out my luck ! But you are right, other MOCs can be a great source of inspiration ! Mortesv has made a great MOC of the Nebulon B and brought alot of ideas for instance. Quote
Koenta Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I have only good experiences with BL. Some times on a big order a miss count. But always solved by the seller. Contact your seller and ask if he can send the missing bricks. And maybe also substitutes for the dented ones. Else you give him a bad review. Good luck. Quote
