lego_ff Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Hi, my name is Kevin. I've been lurking here for over a year now but just joined today. Almost two years ago I was reintroduced to LEGO by my girlfriends son. We went to the LEGO store, two years ago I didn't know they existed, and realized what I had been missing when I saw Fire Brigade and the red cargo train 3677. The next night at home I was on the computer shopping at LEGO and joining the VIP program. My main interests are City, Trains, and the modulars. The family is working on a large city layout together, and I am working on my first MOC, a 2008 Pierce Velocity pumper, with some other MOCS in planning phases. I have to say thanks already to all of those that have been an inspiration for my planned mocs, and sharing all that you do. kevin Quote
eurotrash Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Welcome, Kevin, to the forums! We'd like to see your MOCs when you're ready (I had to google Pierce Velocity to see what it was). I think you'll find us supportive and encouraging (but you already know that!) Quote
mpoh98 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Welcome Kevin, to Eurobricks! Have fun, and I can't wait to see your mocs! Quote
Rook Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Welcome, did you go to the King of Prussia Lego store or another? Quote
Ragnar_Deerslayer Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Welcome! It's so cool to hear that the family is working on a city layout together! Ragnar Quote
lego_ff Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 Thanks to all for the welcomes. Welcome, did you go to the King of Prussia Lego store or another? The first store I went to was the New York City store in Rockefeller center. Since then I've been to KOP twice and Annapolis Md once. Annapolis is my favorite so far. Great selection of stock, and the PAB wall had a good variety. The store manager even brought out three or four boxes of tiles, bricks, etc that weren't on the wall for us to put into our PAB cups. Nice, always good to have store staff that car about what's on the wall. I'll have swing by the Annapolis one this next year when I'm in DC. Quote
