Cecilie Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 After making a couple of Fabuland layouts together with Quarryman, I've now made my own layout that I displayed at the LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark last weekend. Fabuland village by cecilihf, on Flickr Here is Maurice Mouse's hillside house, with Villa Revenant on top of the hill. Fabuland village - LFW 2013 by cecilihf, on Flickr The Croc brothers have moved their little hut from besides the river and up to the lake on the hill. Fabuland village - LFW 2013 by cecilihf, on Flickr The tea house has found a spot on the other side of the lake. The plane is Quarryman's. Fabuland village - LFW 2013 by cecilihf, on Flickr The Fabulanders are also intending to invade space now, and have built themselves a rocket to get there. This was actually built for SHIPtember. CMP Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Awesome. Fabuland builds are always interesting, and the layouts tend to be very unique. This one is no different. I love the rocket, it even fits with the Fabuland style with its 50s sci-fi vibe. The tea house and Maurice's place are also really nice, the latter reminds me a lot of Bag End. Quote
Darkdragon Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I wonder if it's swooshable.. Great village. The lake is fantastic, all of it is great! Lots of stuff going on there. Quote

Thanks Yeah, a lot of people go "look, it's a hobbit hole!" But I actually never thought about the hobbit holes when I had the idea for it initially, but I quickly realized there was a striking resemblance I wonder if it's swooshable.. Great village. eurotrash Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I think the rocket is my favorite build, but it's all really well done. Thanks for sharing it with us! Quote

___ Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) I would very like to see Fabuland composition only from original Fabuland bricks, you know, those thin bigger parts and stuff, that would be great...any plans for something like that? I also like the dark gray rocks combination with green bricks simulating grass, very nic indeed. On side note: I was child in early/mid 80's in Czechoslovakia, and me and my younger sister were always so jealous on "western" kids when we see these green Fabuland sets with their beautiful boxes in LEGO catalogues I have from my bigger space sets (like #6970, #6971, #6980 etc.) that simply unobtainable there at those times (the were only one small LEGO shop in our capital for the hole republic, gee...strange nostalgy ). Ah... Anyway: good work, guys! Keep it going. Edited March 14, 2015 by bublible Quote
