kermit Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 So i waited till 12 this morning to take advantage of the double vip points. The 40056 Thanksgiving Feast set wasnt on shop at home in September month. Today is October 1st I logged on hopping to get this set and to my disappointment it was listed as sold out ON THE VERY day it was to be made available on Shop at home. Quote
scottwb2010 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Hi Kermit. Its showing as available in the UK now. It was mentioned on Brickset last night as listed in other countries other than USA but showing sold out so maybe they changed the availability sometime this morning Quote
kermit Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 I sent an email to Lego to query if this is a glitch and if it will be available again. Quote
LegoSjaak Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Here in Holland it is sold out as well.. expected shipdate 16 october....hmpf... Quote
fabbbbbricks Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 In the italian version of the shop is currently available. I've bought two bags now. Quote
kermit Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 There is no expected ship date on the US site. I just states sold out. The same thing happened with the easter bunny polybag earlier in the year. Quote
dvsntt Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 At the time of this writing, it shows "available now" in US market. Quote
jaysapathy Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 My local Lego store has close to 50 of these. If you can get to the stores, they have that and the spring set too. Quote
KringlesBricks Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I just got mine. It's currently showing "Available" when you click the item via the Shop-at-Home US site. Quote
sneff Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I placed a big order on october 1st in the evening and they had them in stock. mines on the way along with my pet shop and palace cinema. :) Quote
kermit Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 I got back a reply from Lego and they said it was a computer glitch and that the set will be listed as available on the US site. However, with such a great little set for that price I wont be surprised if it gets sold out quickly. Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 It just needs to stay in stock till the 14th. My cart is all ready to go for that wonderful little Christmas set. Quote
WaysofSorting Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Clearly, I'm late to this party as it's now almost the middle of the Month, I'd never heard of this set until I was browsing Shop@home today, and I don't have any VIP points (are they worth signing up for?) The thanksgiving set is available at this time, so says the Lego site - I feel like I need to buy about sixty of these. I have a turkey leg to turkey body ratio of 1000:0 and hope to remedy that to some extent. Even though it's only 46 pieces for $7.99, I think it is a great deal. Quote
Stefano Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 and I don't have any VIP points (are they worth signing up for?) one word: YES, if you plan on buying Lego, try and save the money buy all your sets in October or March, since then is always Lego VIP Double Points month, correct me if i'm wrong, and 100 points is 5 Euro discount(i guess 5 dollar in USA?) As for the set, don't know i get this for free with my order: http://shop.lego.com/en-NL/LEGO-Free-Gift some sort of Christmas tree seller Quote
