I think it's a good start. Try to clean up the color scheme, make it completely red for example. And the warning lights above the cabin should be attached differently.

Let us know of your progress.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about the lights and I will look at changing them.

My original plan was to build it all out of red but I ran out of red pieces, I have pulled another MOC to pieces so I might have enough red now to fix it up :)

Yes you look like you may be limited by parts, I would say that the line beneath the window should be white and if you can a very solid white, defining a nice strip of white below the red, front to back. If it were all red, the eye would struggle to focus on any givin part of the vehicle, the eye will instead focus on the whole if it were all red.

Hi,

A very good start. I don't think a full red colour scheme would suit it. You will need to add in another colour somewhere. clarkdef has mentioned exactly what I want to say. I suppose now we can get white beams via customer service.

Thanks for all the feedback, the white strip is what I am going to try next.

Looks very nice! Is its center of gravity lower or higher than the 9398s B model?

I would say lower by quite a bit.

White is just a suggestion, what evr colour you think will work, the eye needs somewhere to go and the body needs to be broken up so you can see what is what.

Do you have a lot of parts? I never have enough to build models of this scale.

I think if you have lots of system parts, just make the body out of that, it will always look better than studless IMO. You would probably have to use dual shock absorbers to cope with the extra weight tho.

Sadly no I don't have many spare parts, most are in sets I have built. I am planning on buying some more sets to part out later in the year.

Nice MOC, but as others said, it's a bit hard on the eyes  If you have the funds/parts, go for an orange/white colour scheme, it's more original than full red

UPDATE - 5/10/2013

Following some advice and feedback I have made a number of changes to this body to improve it.

These changes include:

- New front section with a better colour scheme, more consistent colour use and better looking.

- Change to roof mounted lights.

- Change to roof mounted aerial location

- Rear body is now the same colour (Red) and the mounting points for this are now changed and improved.

I agree that you need a better color style. The chassis has almost the same color scheme as the body, and it's hard to tell where the body begins, the model seems just a big blob of grey and red parts.

Yeah, the back needs some panels.

I was going up and down the page playing spot the difference haha, man I can't tell the difference.

Sorry I have the same problem. I never liked the overhead cab design for that chassis either anyways. Wish Lego made a better B model

The problem is that you have not defined the edges properly.

The cab has more holes than the titanic.
