Once upon a time...

There was a Nocturnian spy who tryed his luck on the road to the Dark Isle...

He was never seen again!

The End.

Ok, here's the real deal.

I was working on a tree this morning and it sort of ended up evolving into this creature. So I decided to give him a sort of demon/alien type look and figured he would work in my story somehow.

There may be some doubters who are not sure about the color scheme, but I am working on a seriously creepy twisted cottage which will show of the full effect of the color scheme as The Dark Isle Saga heads into the realms of haunted forests.

Poor Gawaine!

That's awesome, I do like the colour scheme- it's dark yet full of colour. Makes my head spin. That can't be a true Nocturnian, we give those things to our newborn as pets. They're not scary at all.

The ground colors remind me of a Kinkade painting, and that is honestly really how I've always pictured Avalonia. Nice work and I'm really looking forward to seeing you work more with this color scheme!

That creature is awesome! The photography is really effective in the first/last image, and I can see the colour scheme working - right now the purple/turquoise looks like a heavy mist crawling along the ground - looking forward to the haunted forests.

It's a good thing seeing you this active in mocing again. For a while I thought we had lost you, but you're back and that's great!

As for your creation, great techniqes as always, I'm not 100% convinced of the purple though

Thanks guys

Not a true Nocturnian? Well it must have been one of those Avalonian exiles who now live in Nocturnus

Thanks Kabal, yes I do hope to be more active and enjoy building what I can and seeing what great stuff other people are doing. Have faith in the color scheme, I think something rather special is on its way

Again, totally awesome. It reminded me of the smoke monster in Lost meats the mask from Scream... Totally terrifying.

I really like the colored ground, and I am envious that I don't have bricks in those colors.

Very, very, VERY nice! I love that color scheme, wish I had pieces in those colors. The monster itself is incredible! I love your MOCs they're also so inspiring! :sweet::thumbup:

That demon looks awesome. Great job on it's face. I like the landscape as well. The purple and green dark turquoise give it a sinister look.

Book 2 is definitely going to be weird. The dark pink compliments the teal. The browns work. I'm trying to use my imagination really hard to envision a landscape like this. Makes me want to try purple, dark pink and lime with brown.

Ooh, nice work DC! Some really lovely flowing lines on the creature, and the face is great. The out of focus shots are literally dripping with menace.

Not sure what kind of spy flies thier own colours tho - clearly not a very bright (or long-lived) one!

Dc you really are in the front when it comes to moccing! Once we have learned your skills (1x1 round plates houses etc) you bring something like this! I absolutely love the colour scheme! It looks very cartoonish and I love it!

Plus this

Equals an Avalonian who was actually trying to dry his tights on his spear when he got caught by the monster. Clearly he wanted to be in Nocturnus, but he's not brave enough, so he had to settle for Avalonia.

Wow Derfel, this is just fantastic! A fantastic color scheme, and the Ghost is amazing! Wonderfully done! The base is also very impressive, a great design.
