stan Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I was amazed to see BBC2 using LEGO graphics in their coverage of the UKs Budget today. Not only were they using actual Lego piece graphics but reffered to them as "LEGO" several times. They had a very cool Gordon Brown Legoland Style figure complete with red box. How did Lego manage that!? A great bit of publicity from the BBC who have a very strict non-advertising policy. Quote
Brainbox Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Wow! Ha ha. I relay wish I could've seen that. The Budget just became interesting... well, maybe not. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Hmmm, kind of disappointed I didn't see it now, although I never ever watch anything like that. Was it cgi LEGO or actual LEGO which they had built and filmed? Quote
Starwars4J Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Hopefully it will be up on youtube soon :-) Quote
Optimax X Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Was this on tonight? If so, what time and what was the program called? I was watching top gear. Quote

stan Posted March 22, 2007 Author Posted March 22, 2007 It was cgi graphics in the middle of the table. It was bbc2 day time yesterday it was "The Budget" They used Lego sets and peices to illustrate the different budget points: Trees for environment, Planes for Air travel, amulance for the services/nhs, etc.. and had Lego Gordon Brown walking all over the table. Mr Hobbles Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 That's brilliant! Looks like it was filmed at Legoland Windsor. The ambulance was cool in the first video, but the car and tank were just really quite rubbish. :-D Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 That was... entertaining... -ZotS Quote
