I have seen them in a different topic as well, the built-in motor is awesome! It's great that you can just plug them in and have them extend, but I'm wondering how much torque they have.

I have seen them in a couple of MOC's before. I think they used them for the reach, because the rest of the MOC look like it was pure Lego. I'm a purest too, but sometimes you might need 1 or 2 for a to scale mock.

I am 99% sure you have all seen me mention them quite a few times which is why you might be familiar.

I have quite a few of them (both long and short). They are WONDERFUL. I was able to use them as replacements for crane booms where pneumatics / LA's dont' provide enough strength or enough travel for height. By far the best part about them is the reasonable cost considering the motor is built into the assembly. You only need a PF to NXT cable to power them. They also work very well in parallel which is what I did with HAN's 8421XXL (Pneumatics are very annoying for people who like to "display" their MOC's).

ITs worth noting that they do have internal saftey clutches so that you can't damage them. They can take quite a bit of force before they trigger though.

Feel free to bounce any questions off me... I will do my best to answer them.

You will see them in an upcoming MOC (not my own) in the near future!
