Hello to everyone!

Today I'll show you my first attempt to make a 32x32 standard modular building...

It was summer 2010th and I took the Cinema from the Town Plan and re-elaborate it.

I kept the same front form the original, added more floors, more details...

The screening room has two floors as in many old Cinemas, there's the room for the projectionist and at the last floor a coffee shop with a terrace to admire Lego City...

Even in this case I proceed brick by brick, adding detailes while building it.

The name, is a bit embarassing, because after I put the name on the plate, I found a great Cinema on Brickshelf, and it was named Empire as mine... :sceptic:

Anyway, it's fully furnished and while they are playing a Star Wars marathon, there's plenty of Cosplayers...

Here it is!

Very good first attempt and moc. I like the lamp you made and the people dressed as their favorite star wars character. I think the ticket area of the first floor is a bit too small though.

Yes, it's very little...

Unluckily I didn't know how to fit everything and I wanted to have a 2 floor screenning room... If I'd ever make a new one, I would try to put it on the second and third floor...

It sounds like a really good idea. However on my iPad it only shows as a black square. Could you provide a link to the photos?

Thanks,

Did you tap on the black square? It is a link to Flickr gallery...

I just wrote the link and it became a show.... :look:

Tapped on the link... Nothing happened.

Thanks,

Thanks for sharing. I missed out on that Town Plan set, but I did like that cinema in it.

I like the changes you made. It appears more like a downtown theater in line with the current modulars. I understand why they made the Palace Cinema as it is, but I like this version too. If I ever make my own, I will probably take more design cues from you over the current modular.

I like the size of the interior height wise. Yes, a modular will be crowded, but I think you did a good job with the space you have. I really like the roofline and front facade without having too many big windows to eat away at the actual viewing room.

I think if I make one, I will incorporate a similar roofline, but I will probably make mine deeper front to back. I never look at the back of my modulars, so I don't really need to keep it within the same constraints, although it would be more impressive by doing so.

Thank you for this kind review... Actually the rear of this building has been changed last year but I never took new photos...

Yesterday I was watching your Mini Cinema... I think I will copy it to make a version of my modular Cinema...

Thank you! Obviously Kristel loves Crystals-made lights!

I love interiors, so any time I make a new modular I try to find new ideas... Obviously, sometimes some ideas are not so original as so many Afols are searching for new building techniques...

I like everything except for the top story, for me, and this is just my opinion, the roof colour and design doesn't match the rest of the architecture... But you've done a great job with the rest of the conversion and the interior is very detailed which is great in such a small space!

Great conversion and happy building

P.S. Here is my modular conversion of the cinema: http://www.flickr.co...57633042841474/
