Junpei Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Yeah, it's a great piece, everyone forgets about it since it's in the Bionicle section. Quote
z3_2drive Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I love anti-roll bars, they work great for track cars. Once I get my suspension parts from Germany I will try to implement one in my large RC car build Quote
piterx Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 jaw dropping as usual nicjasno! i love the way your models work as the real thing! Quote
nicjasno Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 Finally new video! :) images: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0qt73qemhnu35gq/IlKtkoO1TZ Quote
z3_2drive Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Nice! I like that you are offering the hubs...I may be interested. Quote
jesse66058 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Sorry to revive this 'old' topic, but i was curious how many people still follow this buildshow and if there are more copies out there! Here is mine: I was finally able to buy the tires for a bargain price and received them today. With them the model is HUGE! Edited August 28, 2014 by jesse66058 Quote
darksheep Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Hi I am following the show just waiting for a new video and to see some progress on the car further . Quote
nicjasno Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Yeah, we'll continue in october. :P Quote
piterx Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Yeah, we'll continue in october. :P yeah man post something, i love your video tutorials! Quote
nicjasno Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 The chassis will get totally rebuilt. It needs to be lighter and stronger. Quote
MSc Shobaki Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 @nicjasno: Why dont you build it fully studless? It would be cooler to have it like that. And also, is there a way to rebuild the rear suspension without the 2L bars that you use? Quote
Milan Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 @nicjasno: Why dont you build it fully studless? It is stronger with studded parts. Quote
nicjasno Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Some parts need to be done with studded parts. But i will try to use the new panels in some areas as structural parts. The rear and front suspensions need to be rebuilt. I'll see what i can do about the 2l bars. Quote
jesse66058 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Totally rebuilded? That's some work! But yeah, curious how you make it again and again. I think this is one of the best methods to learn how to build with Lego. Try to improve the newest chassis. When stuck you look how somebody solved it in the next episode. Amazing! Quote
MSc Shobaki Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 It may be stronger with studded parts, but you sure can build a studless car very strong if you brace sections in all directions. Plus, it is way more challenging to build studless. @nicjasno: Excellent! It sounds very interesting that you will try to use panels. And that you will see what to do with the 2L bars, as they are modified, it is better if you could eliminate such parts Quote
nicjasno Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 It's time for an update. I have recently restarted the e30 build and scrapped everything that i made before. Here's some pics of the current setup. Quote
JJ2 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 YES! More e30 type videos (hopefully)! Anyway I really like the McPherson Front suspension with the adjustable shocks. On the rear axle are you sure the UJ's and CV's can handle the torque? I have blown out CV's with just regular PF motors. Quote
nicjasno Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) There is nothing final in any of those images. Everything can change still. I don't trust either the lego cv joints or the u-joints. But nothing else fits in here at the moment. I'll try to think of something stronger. Edited April 30, 2016 by nicjasno Quote

Milan Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Brick built U-Joints could fit next to the diff housing, but probably not next to the wheels...too bad. Quote
bonox Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 good work, but it's going to be a tough act for many to follow with the use of the motorcycle springs Quote
nicjasno Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 I have decided to go for the optimal sollution rather than something everybody is able to copy. With those springs, lowering and tuning the car will also be so much easier. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Having purchased an engine from you before, I love what you do and do follow your material from time to time. Glad to see some progress on this cool project. Quote
