music in technic moc videos

what do you think is the best technic moc video in case off music in relation to the videofootages? (What I mean is the editing of the music) or videos with good music

i don't know....probably the sariel's one fits better...even if leaves me a little bit

i usually pay attention to music while mounting the final sequence...and my criteria of choosing music is what the video should comunicate

so usually if i make an offroad i prefer some country rock, or if i make a fast car i put something like electro...

but it's only a matter of personal taste

If you ask me, both are bad examples. This "epic" music score is very unfitting to those videos.

I think the music should complement the video and model, not detract from it. And you nailed it.

The videos tibivi posted, fail completly. To pull off such an "epic" sountrack, the video and editing need to follow it. And the model needs to be epic too.

This is an awesome video, tho maybe not music, I guess a bit.

I believe in my professional opinion that this video is the best edited ever made.

I agree with you, but I think in the video of the hot rod and Sariel's Zonda the music follows the car.

That is a great example of fitting music and nice editing, building up to a finale.

Yeah, the epic scores don't really fit too well, or heavy metal which there seems to be alot of. I know what they were going for, but it doesn't work most of the time. It's not a MOC but this is I think is the most well done technic video with perfect music that is just epic enough in it's own way.

Haha, I was also in a metal band and was actually thinking about putting a song on a video of mine, but I decided not to.

I love music, but I can't for the life think about a music to be put under my videos.

I personally loved the soundtrack of this Sariel video, I wouldn't listen to it but for this video, everything just fell into place and I felt the harmony with the universe (I'm not being sarcastic but sleepy as shit)

Yeah, both sarials b-model video and timslegos crawler video have music that is well integrated.

The music is ment to complement the action in the video, not be the main part of it. Some people forget that (cue the EPIC music :) )

@piterx, The Glitch Mob is great for everything I personally would go for electronic or rock, and electronic (being so many different types) needs to fit the MOC, like calm or fast. You can use pretty much anything as long as it fits the pace, lighting, or theme of the MOC and video. I try to match the music to the type of moc in some way, although, sometimes I think the music I pick is a bit dramatic (and some of the commentors agree )

Lately, I've been using music that I download from Audio Network. Everything is pre-approved for youtube use, so there isn't all the copyright stuff to deal with.
