I'm a bit surprised ... I've seen earlier reports that say there was a gyro sensor (for building a segway / inverted pendulum) ... but none in your review. Only ONE touch sensor? I'll stick to my NXT 2.0 then ... and wait for the EV3 2.0

The education set has a gyro sensor. The retail version hasn't (it got the remote instead for increased playablility for kids)

Yeah, this time edu version seem li a better choice. I any case, IR sensor plus remote is must have.
