jorgeopesi Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 To build the tilt function is a real real nightmare... joints in pistons, geometry... I discovered that the tilt function (video 1) is made by lateral pistons, for that reason some dozers can carry only one piston on one side and a rigid bar in the other (video 2), it took me time to understand it... the upper pistons don´t work independently as I thought and to get this is costing me a lot... Doc_Brown Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Good luck figuring it out! I'm sure you will get it eventually. Quote
Lakop Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 That's an epic build. I'm sure you can work the tilt out. I think it will be down to trial and error, maybe using gears. Keep us informed. H Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Thank you guys, if someone has information abuot it or pics or videos let me know please... A few more pics, testing and testing. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Tilt function done, more work than it seems... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ne6QGYQ6Tg&feature=youtu.be Quote

skriblez Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 This thing is a beast. I can imagine it pushing all other technic sets away on its travels! Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Coming soon in a new topic... a new beast with more and better pics and video. Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 WOW ! what a great looking bulldozer Jorgeopesi. Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Looks great indeed, would love to see a video of this beast in action! Quote
Junpei Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 It looks amazing! Do the ball joints and the ability of the pistons to rotate cause any slack in the system? Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 No slack in the system I copied the blade and the geometry of the komatsu. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 So the battle against the awesome komatsu is over? ^^ Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Not yet it is a strong fighter , I don´t like the cabin and the small ripper this one is better and adjustable... Quote
Junpei Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Looks even better than before! Are you going to make stickers for it? Quote
jorgeopesi Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 Looks even better than before! Are you going to make stickers for it? I don´t tihnk so, I never have used the Lego stickers too. When I finish the video I will disarm the dozer as usual. Quote
