Marcel1980 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Does anyone have a ldd of this model? http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/272131 For me its mainly the suspension of a floating axle that i want to see and learn. So an other model with that kind of suspension will do to! Many thanks! Quote
Junpei Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I know, it's beautiful! Well I wish you luck on finding the LDD file, tho I couldn't find it. Can you PM him? Quote
cgg199 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 The rear axle is a very simple design. It would be incredible simple to build that type of suspension, and I will give it a go. Quote

Oh thanks, biggest problem i found is the connection point of the links. Also making decent hubs for the wheels... I just cant make them strong enoug. The are wobbly and loose. cgg199 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 It's a very basic first picture, but it should work just the same when implemented into a trial truck. Black - Chassis Yellow - Rear floating axle Blue/Green - Suspension If you also want some help with hubs, axles etc, I'll try to help. Quote
Marcel1980 Posted August 23, 2013 Author Posted August 23, 2013 I do have some trouble with axles and hubs. Especialy the part of the gears that go in the wheels. Just cant make it strong enough. Im very new to the trail trucks and my tatra was just a disater... Quote
cgg199 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) Ok, I'll help you a best as I can. Axles and hubs are the bit I enjoy most haha. What do you need? Edited August 23, 2013 by cgg199 Quote
Marcel1980 Posted August 23, 2013 Author Posted August 23, 2013 I understand steering. So thats fine. The most trouble is the gears on the end of an axle, like in this unimog, that go into the wheels to connect them on the rest of the axle. Does that even make any sense? Quote
cgg199 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) I don't really understand. I think you mean the gears to drive the axle? That's really straightforward when you choose the right gears. With crawlers, don't use a differential though. Show me what you have designed, and I'll see what I can do. Edited August 23, 2013 by cgg199 Quote
jorgeopesi Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 When I saw reminded me of this other http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=481221 is fantastic that I'm still surprising to see these suspensions. Quote

So i am meaning these portals : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=532843 I just cant get strong connection to an axle. They just hang loose and they tend to disconnect from the axle... I am just looking to long at this.. I need some fresh input. cgg199 Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I've made one small modification, by placing the bottom one of these upside down. This should hold together nicely now. Quote
Marcel1980 Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 Yeah that works... Pretty easy solution. Quote
