OBI-WAN37 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) New model and new photo http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Person65/Batman/img_1288.jpg Comments and criticism welcome. Edited August 21, 2013 by OBI-WAN37 Quote
kermit Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) Very nice. The nose is a bit wide though, maybe using one of the slopes instead of having two across would be good. Edited August 21, 2013 by kermit Quote
Oky Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Not bad. The shape of the head is good, but the face is a little off. I think the chin needs to extend further down, and the eyes don't look right. I'd suggest using cheese slopes like I did on my transforming Batmobile. Other than that, nicely done. Quote
OBI-WAN37 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) ^^Thanks. I probably would've been able to come up with a better nose if I had had the parts, but my parts selection is relatively limited for an AFOL so I had to make due with what I had, especially since I hate LDD mocing and it's so expensive to ship each new model you design. ^Thanks. Clone OPatra Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Looks very nice and stylized. I only wish you had a smaller version uploaded so that you could deeplink it in your post (max of 800x600). Alternatively you could consider uploading to Flickr, which automatically gives you size options no matter how large your original image is. Quote
OBI-WAN37 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 UPDATE: I've redisigned and uploaded another, better picture of a better model in the way that the ears are shorter. Quote
Green Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I like it, it has a really unique and clever style about it. Just a suggestion, but would using a non-SNOT technique be better for the eyes? Quote
OBI-WAN37 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 (edited) UPDATE: Modded the model again, and took a new picture, which I have now replaced the old one with. I hope I'm not being unreasonable here by posting on my MoC's topic whenever I update it, I don't mean to "bump". Anyway, this is the last time I'll make any new posts that announce updates to the model. And, concerning your suggestions to use cheese slopes and methods other than the SNOT technique I used for the eyes, Green and Oky, thanks, but I think I like them the way they are. No, that's totally reasonable. 'Bumbing' is just commenting on an old thread without adding anything. Like saying 'I agree' on a 6 month old post. Also, for the future, I think it's better if you add new pictures to the top of the OP rather than replacing them. It's nice having a record of the changes that have been made. Nice job with the build! Quote
