monsinjor Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hello Here's the creation of last night... the wizard's tree. Deep in the woods Black wizard made his home in a big tree Hope you like it. Have a nice day! Quote
Lynx Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Reminds me of Radaghast's Rhosgobel - but set in the classic LEGO Castle theme. Excellent build! Quote
Hobbythom Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Cute tree! I like the asymetrical (is that a word?) doorway! Quote
NiL_FisK_Urd Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) I like this build, the tree looks good Edited August 19, 2013 by NiL_FisK_Urd Quote
monsinjor Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Looks awesome... love it! Thanks Alcarin. Reminds me of Radaghast's Rhosgobel - but set in the classic LEGO Castle theme. Excellent build! Thanks Lynx. Actually I didn't think about it until you've mentioned it. But it will be nice to build something like that, to copy it from the movie. Cute tree! I like the asymetrical (is that a word?) doorway! Thanks Hobbythom. I think that's the word. I don't have the smaller arch in reddish brown so this was the only solution to me. I like this build, the tree looks good Thanks NiL_FisK_Urd. I like it also. It is the first time ever I did something like this. When I was a child back in 90's I loved the blue wizard's hideout but never had it. So this is my tribute (some sort of) to this. Once again, thanks guys. I appreciate it. soccerkid6 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Cool tree, I like how you used the hood pieces as a roof over the window Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Very neat build. I like the idea of a wizard living inside the tree and I think you got the shape right. My only want would be a slightly taller tree to give it a little more presence. But otherwise, it looks great. Reminds me a bit of Majisto. Quote
wildanimal888 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I think that the window really adds to the tree. Good job! Quote
Infernum Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Love the use of vines! Nice foliage and great work with the palm tree trunk branches! Quote
kermit Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Very nice moc I especially like how well you made the door blend into the tree to the point that the moc looks like just a tree rather than a house that looks like a tree. It always amazes me how great mocs can be even when small in scale. All you are missing are a few birds on the tree or maybe a bat or two. Quote
BrickChic_au Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I think this looks great. The asymmetry works really well and the vines are really cool. I'd add a bird, maybe an owl but that's just me. Quote
monsinjor Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Thanks guys. The hood and the window was the idea from the start. I know I should add a bird or an owl but sadly, I don't have any. Hopefully, next BL order will contain at least one Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Very fairytale like! I like how you did the roof above the upper window Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Another great scene with green plants Monsinjor! I love this big tree Quote
