Good evening to all, someone can help me in a little trouble? then I have the excavator Zorex with the battery box 8878, and I noticed that the track right to the comparison of the hard work sinisto even turn to say not mad because he does not run as it should run! but if I raise or lift the track turns everything 100% so someone can tell me who is? thanks and sorry for writing but use the translator!

I think his problem is that the tracks are not moving at the same speed. So the excavator won't drive in a straight line. I found the same problem in the Ultimate 8043. I haven't figured out a solution yet, but I think it's caused by the fact that the drivetrain to one of the tracks is significantly longer than the other.

Rebuilding it will be my next project for September.

I come from florence, here is just that problena guessed in full, I also had the same problem du l 8043 ultimate, but I never understood why more than anything else it does not go straight but when I use the right lane to turn just will not ! here here will be a nice thing if I did!

Electric motors almost never run at the same speed. You can do tests too look if the motor run at the same speed. If thats the the probem nothing you can do about it. If have the same problem right now with my 8043.

You can check the speed of motors with eachother with a differential, but i just can find the youtube movie... Sorry.

Other thing that the gears are to thight.

There is one way to reduce this effect: By changing the 12/12 angled gear-combo going to the turntable with 12/20. Then you can compensate the lower speed by changing the 8/24 gear-combo in the chassis to 12/20.

However, the chair in the cabin will not fit anymore.

I'm currently building a new version of the Zorex where I compensated this. It's still not driving in a perfect straight line, but it's coming close.

Oh thats a good solution. Never thought of reducing one tread more then the other!

That's interesting jurgen...will you be releasing the changes as like a "patch" or as a complete rebuild? And will those with the instructions for the old ones need to purchase the new ones or can we get the free? ;)

I'm not suggesting giving the 2 drivetrains different gearing. My suggestion is to change both drivetrains the same way. This way you have more gear-reduction of the drivetrain going through the turntable. Cause thats where most of the friction is (on the 12L Axle going all the way through the turntable)

excuse my ignorance but I did not understand much, basically I have to do? got a picture? jurgen there will be instructions for this change? since I have already bought the old me will be given for free? thanks

There are no plans for additional instructions, sorry.

But I can clarify the change:

On pag. 33, change the 12z tan gears to 20z tan gears and the black 12z gears to 12z tan gear.

And on pag 9 change the 24z geat to 20 double bevel tan gear

and on pag. 3 & 8 change the 8z gear to black 12z gear.

Good luck.

Simply you have to change the gear ratio in one or both the tracks.
