Need some help...

I felt silly asking for help on such a personal opinionated thing, so I thought it would be better if I post my plan, and have you guys rate/give feedback on it? Sound good? Ok.

Here it is, I wanted to make it as space efficient as possible, so it may be a bit of a weird design to some of you, but I like the difference.

So, what do you think?

What I would like to improve:

• Size of the inner track (to have bigger trains and a bigger station)
  
• Make it so it all lines up on BlueBrick (You may notice some things don't connect, I can fix it with flex track, but It would be nice to have it lined up)
  

Please post suggestions and feedback.

You can use free software such as Dropbox to share files. It's easy to use.

I'm designing my own layout presently, so I feel very proficent with Blue Brick.

However, £100 is not much to work with. What is that money supposed to buy; track, baseplates and tables? How much do track and baseplates cost in your area?

That 100 was just for track, not sure about tables or baseplate at the moment.

I like how the track deviates from 90-degree angles in the curves. I'll have to talk to my LUG about that next time we meet...

Your layout looks great, I also like how the tracks don't run exactly parallel to each other as you often see that in real life. Maybe put some 'rocks', trees and/or shrubs in between the tracks to give them a reason to deviate.

An interesting layout

you have put your shunting yard in the middle of the table, it will be hard to reach

I would adjust the layout so the station is near the rest of the town (which I am assuming will be in the lower part of the table)

I would add a couple of spur lines to service industry

The numerous curves will cause some drag for trains (should be hardly noticeable with short, light trains, but very noticeable with longer heavier trains). At the top of the layout it looks like the two tracks are exactly 8 studs apart, center to center. Even if all of your trains are exactly 6 wide you may still have collisions as the trains pass through the curves in the outside track, swinging further into the inside track. You could probably use flex track in the approach on the inside track to increase the spacing between the two tracks though.
