FuzzyBallz Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 So I just read the 42008 review on technicbricks and the reviewer mentioned the need to install a 24T clutch gear between the motor and the gearbox. I've done this before on the container truck, but I'm such a noob that I can't figure out how to do it on the 42008 without photos. Can somebody with a 42008 show me where to install the 24t clutch gear? Thanks! Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) I don't have 42008 yet, but looking at the instructions, I think the following will work: Book 1: Step 14 on page 35, replace the tan 20t gear with a clutch gear. Book 1: Step 4 on page 61, replace the black 12t gear with a 8 tooth gear. It looks like there is enough clearance for the clutch gear, but I'm not 100% sure.
