Laservampire Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'd love to see Smithers, Principal Skinner, Barney and Willie Quote
Leela Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 just2good, thank you so much for these pictures. I especially like the comparison photo, compared to Woody Homer's head doesn't look that out of proportions anymore. Besides the size is just like in the cartoon, where their heads are too big for the body. I think they look great. I like the torso you gave to Flanders, but I just really can't look at Homer's flat tummy I can't wait for the minifigures to be finally released. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Who thinks we will get Mr Burns as he is quite popular? Just trying to think of more popular ones such as: The Simpsons themselves, Ned, Moe, Krusty, Milhouse, Mr Burns, Principle Skinner, Nelson, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Comic book guy I thought it's determined by their appearances in regular sets (uh, don't tell me about th Simpsons). If Mr. Burns will have a factory set, he doesn't neeed to be a CMF I guess. Same for other characters in speculation. It looks like it's removable in the same vein as the Woody hat was, which means you'll have to do that glue melting thing. So yeah, I wouldn't consider it removable. I think that's quite a pity, since there are many iconic hairstyles and parts in this show. I'm not sure how big their heads would be, but can't they keep their stud on top that allow them to change appearances? Quote
Ojik Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Maggie (speculation by me; I have a really bad feeling that Maggie may not be in the CMF Series and only the House set as a reprint of Lisa's head with pacifer printing and such... if she did appear in the CMF Series, she could come with the E=MC^2 reference printed on a few 1x1 blocks, or Bobo) Dude, I already said that, like, two months ago, but I'm sure Maggie will be a single mould, something like Salacious B. Crumb. Minifigure of her would look awful and out of proportion. Shall we make a bet? Would it be fine to start a little guess game in this thread? Edited November 10, 2013 by Ojik Quote

I bet you her figure will be made out of more than one piece. I'm sure a guessing game would be fine, but I'm still not sure what topic it should be in- this one or the Series 13 one. Quote

just2good Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 What do y'all think of the idea of Bart and Lisa's head being smaller (in height) than Homer and Ned's? I've seen some toys have the same size head but different size bodies. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Absolutely yes. Though something tells me that the top of Bart's hair will be the same height at Homer's. Lisa's should look ok. -Sci Quote

I'm sure a guessing game would be fine, but I'm still not sure what topic it should be in- this one or the Series 13 one. Well, as you always say, only time will tell. Till then, I'll stand by my prediction. What do y'all think of the idea of Bart and Lisa's head being smaller (in height) than Homer and Ned's? I've seen some toys have the same size head but different size bodies. I guess they will have short legs which makes me worried. I hope they print them. Heads should be smaller for sure, if Ned and Homer's are too big, imagine how weird would look those kids' heads, even on shorter figs. Quote
tormentalous Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 It looks like the "official" Ned Flanders minifigure has come out. I did a screen cap to verify the episode that he wore the apron in. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-simpsons-collectible-minifigures-official-ned-flanders/ Quote
just2good Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Saw that earlier. What an amazing figure. When Flanders Failed is one of my favorite episodes. There's some really funny parts, but I think the emotional aspects are really what makes the episode. I still get teared-up when Homer and Ned cry with one another. I love how we're getting variation, but that means that we'll get the normal version in the CMF Series, which is something I didn't really want. That means one less spot for another potential character in the CMF Series. But, hey, LEGO never produces new moulds for D2Cs. Edited November 12, 2013 by just2good Quote

I wonder what other obscure variations we'll be seeing for the other characters. It kinda makes me cringe at little. Quote
Hewman Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) I didn't want to comment on these figs until I saw something that look like an official release and this certainly does. I love the printing style because of its accuracy, but I'm very disappointed in how the heads scale with the minifig torsos and legs. It really looks like if they shrunk the heads about 5-10% they could have looked great, but as they are they look a bit too bobble headed. Edited November 12, 2013 by Hewman Quote
australopithecine Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I'm liking what Lego is doing here with these Simpsons heads on regular minifig bodies. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Same here, I like the fact that there heads are new molds. It does great for accuracy and detail. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 At least we are not knocking Ned.....singing "Everybody Hates Ned Flanders" ......it's a great minifig and now we see that they will be similar to the Toy Story minifigs. Quote
Legoman123 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Absolutely love that minifigure! I hope he does come with the house in that apron. Quote
kermit Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 With that Flanders figure I am guessing that we will see him bbq-ing outside the simpsons house set. Quote

just2good Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 How do we know this isn't the figure from the blind-bags? Leaked eBay figures are usually never blindbag figures, and I don't see them releasing this version in the blindbags as it's a more specific version. Just speculation on my part. Quote
Sam892 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I really love the Ned figure he looks great. One of the things I really wanted with this theme was for a set in the style of Bikini bottom, where both the Simpson house and Flanders house are included. Quote
Ojik Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Love the figure and can't wait to see all of them! Episode-based costume also adds a lot. The only thing that bugs me is slightly too big collar, but oh well. Justin, if it's not too much trouble, could you please try to take a picture of figures in 1:1 ratio, like seen on top of the boxes? Thank you in advance. Quote

Just speculation on my part. I'm fairly certain CMF figures have leaked out before. I think even as recently as Series 11 a few pictures popped up before the figures were out in stores, so anything could happen. Regardless, this figure makes me confident that the line will give us some awesome mf prints, even if the heads are slightly strange. Those torso and leg prints on Flanders look terrific, and plenty useful for making purist custom figs. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I actually like that head now... Quote
