Jason C. Hand Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Here is that "upcoming project" I mentioned a post or two back: my custom version of the USS Vengeance! As you'll see in the photos above, my version of the ship does not at all match the one seen in the movie, because to be honest my building skills are not really on that level. But the photos may give you an idea as to what direction I took this particular craft. Download LXF. Be warned: for all those who have slower computers, the MOC is 2700+ pieces (including Mini Enterprise). Additional pics available @ Flickshot30. Edited March 27, 2014 by Jason C. Hand Quote
JoeKaydear Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Nice BIG MOC! I downloaded your LDD .lxf file to see some details, since your all-black coloration makes it difficult to see individual bricks. Recommend that you lighten-up your colors so that they don't look like silhouettes. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 This is a huge ship ...good luck with your project! Quote
Jason C. Hand Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 This is a huge ship ...good luck with your project! Thank you bud! Nice BIG MOC! Jason C. Hand Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 I happened to take another good look at some images of the Vengeance on the Web and saw that it appeared to be more of a gray or silver color than black. That said, and on the suggestion of JoeKaydear, I lightened the ship's overall color to cool silver (drum lacquer) to make it closer to the actual model. Hope you all get a chance to check out the new, silver Vengeance! Quote
