SheepEater Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 (edited) The 8865 is one of my favorites of all time. To this day, still boasts the best suspension of ANY technic set, even 8880.It's one of these sets I looked at in catalogs as a kid, yet was beyond my reach, but bought it as an AFOL. I also love the blue header, acknowledging 90s motors and pneumatics. Probably from the box of 8868. Please don't ever change it. Thanks. Edited August 2, 2013 by SheepEater Quote
allanp Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Agreed....with everything! I'm not sure I remember seeing another full image like that of any other set, they are usually obscured by a picture of the model. I wonder if anyone has tried to do a similar graphic for a modern set like the unimog. Quote

Never was in stores here, so the cat was all I had. Suspension looks like it might of been softer than the 8880, which is good, because technic suspension always seems to sit at full length, which is a terrible setup. Quote
allanp Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 It is softer, it's perfect, along with the ackerman steering geometry and longer steering arms (same as 8880). Quote
