Hey guys,

I was just wondering if its possible to substitute the 8070 wheel holders for the 42000 wheel holders, because i am planning to build one of Crowkillers MOCS and the 8070 ones seem a little overpriced

The 8070 ones are expensive, but I think you should just bite the bullet and get them. If you put towballs in the pinholes, it will be 5 studs tall and you will get lots of camber when the suspension is compressed.

Maybe if you change the mounting points of the non-towball ends of the A-arms.

I just checked and the length from ball joints to the tip of the pins is the same. You'll just have to figure out a different way to mount them to the model. FYI, the new hubs are NOT as sturdy as the old style. (More "wobble")

you can still get them from lego

When was the last time you tried? A friend of mine bought the last ones, or so he was told...

They are switching to the new style.

These hubs, are really not so good, I used them on my Hot rod just cos I thought I have to use them at least once.

They are no good for all wheel drive applications, as they have a fatal design flaw that causes them to pop out when on a hard wheel lock or at lowest or highest of suspension limits.

Best to stick with the 8070 ones! if you don't have any, I highly recommend that you buy some.

Hope that helps.!
