It was only mildly popular at the time it was out, and most people don't have a long-lived fondness of it. But it was really got me all the way out of my Dark Ages, finishing a job Exo-Force and Fantasy Era castle started lackadaisically. Themes come and go, and while some of them pique my interest, I'm usually much more excited about what can be built that what's pictured on the box. The themes are diverse enough that they will capture the imaginations of at least some of the fan base, and the real success is if there are MOCs of that theme that make you say, "COOL!" Besides, as far as I'm concerned, Agents was Alpha Team 4.0! Quote

Especially with Ninjago coming back and, as said, the LEGO movie coming out next year. I just don't see LEGO digging that theme back up... But it would be awesome if they did Quote
parksroad Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I don't think there will be. The new action theme will be based on the LEGO movie. Alien Conquest series 2 got canceled because of sales and space in warehouses. LEGO has so much crap coming out next year I just don't see when things will get released. The LEGO Movie will get sets for the movie and the DVD release, that's winter and then late summer or fall of next year. Chima will probably get both a winter and a summer waves, then NinjaGo which wasn't really planned I could see bumping whatever might have been planned. Yeah, I'm afraid you're probably right. Not to divert the thread, but the relative lack of non-licensed themes has gotten me into Creator, which isn't so bad. I've said this elsewhere, but the Lego Movie theme looks a bit like Time Cruisers in my head, which I have mixed feelings about... Quote

LEGO had Rock Raiders then Power Miners, Adventure Dino than Dino Attack/2012 and Dino last time. They had Eygpt and then Egypt again. LEGO recycles basic ideas every several years. I think that the spy theme next year will be included in the LEGO Movie sets. Quote

Faefrost Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I actually see some neat signs of Agents aesthetic and design in the new upcoming Ninjago stuff. Which makes me very happy. While we will probably not see a new AGENTS theme, we have seen 6 or 8 waves of the overall Super Agents sub genre between Alpha Team and Agents. We will see its like again. Quote
