Hoexbroe Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 (edited) Hi all, This actually started out as a part of the upcoming MegaMOC-2013 project (Wild West), but during the process I kind of lost track of it all, and ended up with this european-style 1900 horse drawn fire fighting vehicle. Because I liked how it looked, I decided to finish it anyway... -Later I will take it apart, and do a proper one for the 1866 Frontier Land... Ciao! Edited July 30, 2013 by Hoexbroe Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Not bad at all 'Hoexbroe', though their helmets should be either black or gold metallic look to them.....since in that era helmets were either leather or brass. Still it's a cool looking horse drawn steam pumper.....I like it ......Brick On 'Hoexbroe' ! Quote
JopieK Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 it did turn out very well!!! you should ask a firefighter museum if they aren't interested (I would think so!). Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 -Later I will take it apart, and do a proper one for the 1966 Frontier Land... What do you mean? It's great! Quote
ManInATopHat Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 This is amazing! I love seeing old vintage creations on here. Brings us all back to the day when men worked long, hard hours, with blood, sweat and tears. Great work! PS, I'd hate to see this get torn down! Quote
jluck Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 This is awesome! I love the great retro lego build, not something you see every day! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Fantastic MOC! A nice spin on the Fire line; really unique to see built. Great job Hoexbroe Quote
Bamos Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Very nice i really like how you did the the hitch. Bill Quote
Faefrost Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 That is fantastic. It looks just perfect. And it would work well for most large American cities circa the late 19 th century as well. There really isn't much difference in Apparatus at that time. So it would go along decently in a later era Western MOC. Quote
Kivi Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Very nice and very realistic MOC. It should really be kept assembled. Quote
Kristel Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 This looks great! I particularly like how you've done the hitching for the horses. Quote
greg3 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Cool! I made my own vintage fire fighting models a while ago but your take on the subject is much better! I like all the details you've added and of course the horse hitch design. Nice work!! Quote
cloneman155 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Wow Great work. Did you use flesh-tone for more realism? Quote
Hoexbroe Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Wow Great work. Did you use flesh-tone for more realism? I actually LIKE flesh-tone figs. The yellow ones are so... "eighties"... Quote
Firebrickbuilder Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Awesome build my friend, always interested in these old timer horse drawn steamers. When I get time to finish my fire service I will be attempting to build something like this. Great work. Quote
CityBuilder Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Really cool old fire fighters! It's not often things like this are posted around here. Quote
