Ok, so I'm wanting the black brain. I only have Ogrum and Scarox. I'm wanting to get the best first. So what are all of yours' opinions on which is the best?

I have about $20 in VIP points so price doesn't matter, it's whatever you guys think I should get first, then I'll work my way from there.

Skip the whole Winter Wave except Furno, you aren't missing anything.

I don't have the Summer sets yet (hurry up, Lego), but I think you should get Surge and Stormer at the very least.

I'd say my favorite Brain Attack set has got to be Dragon Bolt. That flapping-wings function is expertly integrated and it's nice to have such a substantial non-humanoid model. He's also got quite excellent parts in not-so-common colors like Bright Blue.

I'm also comfortable recommending Breez, because her helmet is perhaps my favorite Hero Factory helmet design of all time. It's remarkably feminine, and because it's in a neutral color it's also quite versatile. Breez doesn't have too many other parts that make her a must-buy though, so she's definitely not as great a parts pack as Ogrum.

Personally, I'd recommend Bruizer or Dragon Bolt. Those are by far the awesomest of the villain sets, with Bruizer having a cool stone motif and both of them having awesome functions. If you're more interested in adding a hero to your collection, I'd recommend Stormer or Surge.

I think that mostly depends if you want a hero or a villain first.

If you want a hero, go with Stormer. He has a fantastic design and comes with great parts. But if you rather want a villain, pick Dragon Bolt. He comes with very awesome parts, a cool build and is, after all, a freaking dragon.

Personally, I still think Stormer is the best set of the batch.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I think I'll pick up Furno or DB just because I can get one for free with all my VIP points, which I need to spend them all because someone told me they expire soon. I'll definitely be picking up the others, but I should use my points first.

If you don't have it, how can you say it's lame? =P. He's generally regarded as the best of the winter wave. I'm a big fan, personally.

I didn't say that. I said that I think it seems lame. This is just my opinion from the reviews (photos and videos) I've seen of him. But yes, I would certainly judge him better if I had him in my hands. x)

Trust me, when he's in your hands he's leaps and bounds better than pictures would lead you to believe. He's got a really cool chest design and the cape and weapons give him a lot of presence next to other figures.

couldn't agree more! if you hasn't got Furno, i recommend it to you.

I think I'll start with Dragon Bolt, then go from there. I think I'll collect all the brains first then go for the heroes. Thanks all for the suggestions!

I just ordered Dragon Bolt and I'm getting the black brain :classic: I think I might add the black brain into a revamp of nebula, matches the theme.

And darkbrick999, I might check out the Chima sets sometime, I haven't gotten into it yet just because there's so many actual sets.. and my ocd wouldn't allow me not to get them all.

I haven't gotten into Chima yet, I saw something on CN the the other day for the animated show and to me it looked like a Lego version of Thunder Cats (the newer one that they unfortunately cancelled) I'm guessing it's geared more towards kids, but might get the sets for the parts.

the storyline is for kids. but putting that aside, the ultrabuild sets are pretty cool.
