Is it me or is there currently a lack of technic sets with red parts ? Apart from previous sets, ferrari car etc, I can only find the jet plane (set 9394) in red. I could really use some red parts.

I've noticed this also. Most of the red parts are usually in the chassis and/or frame of vehicles. What happened to flex axles, too?

I just ordered 9394. I don't have a choice as I need the parts for future projects and as everything else upcoming is either yellow, green or grey and orange or blue (41999) it could be a while before I get red as I suspect 9394 won't be £25 much longer (£28 with postage). There, i've justified it to myself now. Guilt has gone. My other choice was to order red parts but it works out the same cost. More red sets please, lego.

Not long past, people complained about all the red sets that occured :D

And the 9394 is not that bad a model. Be sure to build at least the A-model and/or the C-model. I found both builds rather enjoyable.

I will. It's a set I've been admiring and I've not had a flying technic model ever. It has some interesting parts within it.

I have lots of studded red parts but have no red panels and studdles beams etc. I've got lots of yellow now having bought 42006, i've got a fraction of blue, about 2% and I've got many black and grey parts so I need a good balance. if all goes to plan I will get 42008 later in the year. 9394 will give me some red as a start. Then I will see about blue. Do you guys have a good mix of colours?

for blue: 8435  there's a reasonable amount :classic: I don't have any red at this precise moment, but I've just ordered the 9398 from amazon.co.uk for £99.99 so I'll get some in that :classic: and then I have a bit of orange from 9392, then loads of grey and black. I also have lots of yellow from the 42006 too

42008 does indeed have plenty of red parts. The internals are made of red then hidden behind the green panels. So 42008 is , in my opinion, a good buy not just because it's a good model but because it has lots of nice red and green parts. 8435 does have a good amount of blue. Maybe we need a good blue car set soon.

8109 seem to overall be a good set for beams, it looks to have quite alot of them, both red and yellow and the more "standard" dark gray and black. And there's a fair amount of panels too, especially the dark gray 5x11.

My 9394 arrived today. 8 bags of parts. Lots of nice curvy panels and a good mix of beams, angled connectors, gears and a black wheel hub used as the jet engine by the looks of it..

I am impressed with it.

Like I said before, this set is not bad at all and has interesting building techniques. I initially bought it as a parts pack, but then I was really impressed by the models. Don't miss out to build this:

That's very nice. I always like to try and make something else using only the parts from the set. Thanks for that.
