Guest Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 So Brick Owl has been in the open for about a month now and I thought it would be a good time to get some feedback from the Eurobricks community. For those who haven't heard of Brick Owl yet, it is an alternative Lego marketplace with long requested features such as instant check out and precalculated shipping costs. I wanted to ask if you guys have any feedback from buyers point of view about anything you think should be included on the site that is currently missing? Or maybe something you've always wanted to see on a Lego marketplace.
Brick Stackers Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I'm wondering the same as I have thought about opening a store on there. I like the user interface and the slick checkout, payment, shipping options.
tkatt Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I have been using the site for the past few weeks and I really like it. I've done 7 orders from 4 different sellers, and so far it's been good. I like the way the site looks and operates. The only issues I've had are: At first I couldn't figure out how to view open carts, but then I noticed the link for them on my homepage. I'm not sure if it was there all along and I just didn't notice it. Some elements have no pictures- I'm not sure who is responsible for putting in the pictures, sellers or the site operators. I expect that more images will be added in time. Some elements aren't availble, or the amount for sale is small- I expect that to change as the site grows
TheLegoDr Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I joined the first day it was available, but I haven't been back since. I'll have to take some time and see how smooth it all is. If prices are affordable, I may have to make an order sometime.
Rook Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Layout looks nice but content seems to be lacking. A lot of elements with no images and only descriptions.
Guest Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the comments, I guess the main takeaway point is to get more pictures in the catalogue. Hopefully that will improve over time as we get more users and more people upload pictures. We've had quite a few people submit pictures for things like packaging/stickers/minifigures but not so much on parts. @tkatt I only built that a week or so ago :) Edited July 27, 2013 by ljames28
