Flipz Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Nerwen looked around and stretched. Does anyone remember what the reward was for this? 48 hours without update Doc. Even a 'sorry busy, update tomorrow' would have been fine. "It's the magicks of Heroica. Though they protect us from a myriad of dangers and allow the Veterans to keep a close eye on us, they are of different schools and were never meant to interact. This leads to a myriad of symptoms, notably the distortion of the passage of time. De'kra has noticed it as well, particularly during periods of upheaval and Chaos. Have you ever noticed that whole seasons pass by in a matter of days? It's been nearly two years since I joined Heroica, but it's seemed to be a mere three or four months by my perception. It was not so when I was not Heroican--and it still seems not for those we encounter, in the times in between when we encounter them. Time treats us differently, it seems, and rather poorly at that. For though I've been a Hero for two years, I feel I've aged far more than that in that time. Perhaps that is our curse, the price for the blessings of Hero-hood: our days pass slowly, but our lives fly past. Mortals were not meant to live such overfull lives in such a short span. I have no doubt that those of us who can die will die far younger than non-Heroican counterparts of our respective species." Arthur surveys his companions on this Quest, save for the absent Throlar. "'Tis a shame--that you, some of the best and brightest in our world, face such a cruel fate. I...may not have shown it well, but I am truly honored to have served with each of you. My own performance pales in comparison to the standards the rest of you have set, both for this organization and for people of virtue everywhere." Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 "Thank you! You ought to set up shop in Eubric, you could outbid our local chappo." Boomingham bows in thanks and, upon spotting the rest of his party walking around, raises his hand above his head in greeting. "Eubric, too many people with their competing factions there." Arthur moves to the R'kilf Potion Co.. "Might as well check while we're here." You walk over to the potion shop. "Good afternoon! How can I help you? (I'm definitely not the same potion merchant you met in Dastan)" Potion — Restores 10 Health to the target. 10 Gold Tonic — Restores 5 Ether to the target. 8 Gold Remedy — Removes all negative effects from the target. 15 Gold Phoenix Essence — Revives a fallen ally with full health during a battle. 100 Gold Hurricane — Grants the target the Hilariously Lucky effect. 30 Gold Throlar, brooding on all that has occurred, goes not to the Market but to the Outskirts. You go to the outskirts, and find that them deserted; the Mopag Army has already left. Quote

Flipz Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Leaning back into the shop where Ellaria and Alexander still stood, Arthur commented, "Lady Ellaria, Lord Boomingham, I'd suggest picking up a few Tonics here unless you have major purchasing plans back in Eubric. I'm...not entirely certain I'll be keeping to the magical path, else I'd buy some myself, but for a healer...well, this is probably the best Gold-to-Ether ratio you're going to find, period." Arthur winks, then resumes walking, increasing his pace so as to keep up with Nerwen. He was sure the rest of the party could catch up to them when they'd finished their purchases. Zepher Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 "I don't ever seem to feel myself running low on that department, truth be told." Boomingham shrugs. "May be because I always forget to heal you chaps. I'm ready to head back to the elves." Quote

Chromeknight Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 OOC: I'm honestly fine without, long as we get the loot. I'd be fine without a picture. But there wasn't much description either. Nerwen also investigates the flies checking if they are gathering around a corpse, spoiled food or are just a distraction. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 You find no traps. Opening some of the crates, you find that they're full of food, and the barrels contain water and ale. You figure that this warehouse was probably owned by one of the richer merchants. Quote
