WhiteHexagon Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Well I for one am devastated! All the hard work I'm putting into whitehexagon.com and now someone else with 50 developers will beat me to the finish line. Oh well, WH was more going to be targeted at AFOL so maybe there's some hope yet, oh and it's free :) Peter Quote
natelite Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I can see how this works with an EF MMOG! Build your own battle mech! :-P fight baddies, get gold and upgrade your machines! Quote
Optimax X Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 :-D Ha- sorry, coming out 08! Long time to wait then ;-) :-P I find it silly bringing something like this out so early, as now, the lego message boards will be clogged up with even more spam. Hopefully it does not need high computer speicfications to run, my internet won't let me run some games, so that's my only hope, also, hope it is bug ridden Quote
3D LEGO Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Just so we are all on the same page: Its a "MMOG" (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) that LEGO is making. Not a "MMORPG" (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) like wow. That requires a lot more and usally content is sacrificed for storyline. This will probally be more along the lines of a giant online virtual LEGO world in which pretty much anything is customizable (well except the terrian). So more like a place where your MOC's come to life and you controls the figs that operate and use them... Imagens: HUGE MECHA BATTLES!!! *sweet* Just think of all the BRICKAGE ! (Fancy for carnage, but with bricks-IE kiddy friendly fun) Or on the other hand wander through giant virtual versions of real cities or cruse through futuristic cities in the high tech methods of transportation. The possibilities are endless.. This brings back the old LEGO slogan: "Just Imagen! " Quote
Asuka Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Or on the other hand wander through giant virtual versions of real cities or cruse through futuristic cities in the high tech methods of transportation. The possibilities are endless.. This brings back the old LEGO slogan: "Just Imagen! " Not a MMOG, but maybe interesting too: `07 CREATOR PC-Game.... "Create and explore your own virtual LEGO world", sounds promising.... 8-| Quote
Zarkan Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Nah, that's just a windows XP compatable rerelease of an old 1998 PC "game." It was pretty limited, as it focused completely on the cruddy Town Jr. theme, and had few options. Trust me, I own it. ;-) Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 and I have a lot of ideas for it: Oh my! now my attempts to write a game like this seem so lame :) Great ideas though! I'll see what I can do to put some of these ideas into WhiteHexagon!! I'm just trying to get some good looking trees at the moment though, so progress is a bit slow. Still I have until 2008 to complete it! I recently added the chance to change the minifig colors, but I don't know if I should limit this to real brick colours, at the moment I support any color... conductorjoe Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm looking forward to seeing more info about it! If anybody wants to discuss it or just check out all the info and stuff I just made the first ever fansite for it, BrickMMOG.com. Click the link to visit. ;) Quote
