That's strange, I paid £2.49 for mine in Toys R Us. They must have doubled the prices when they realised how fast they were selling

They were actually free if you spent over £10 but they were also selling them in store and online for £4.99. In my opinion they should of only had them as a reward. As you can imagine you are bound to get some A*se going in and buy 50 other at £4.99 then selling them for £14.99 on ebay that very day!

Is it certain that TC-4 will be the May 4th promo minifigure? I hope it is not because it would be boring to get a figure that is already available. And I expect more for the 15th anniversary. ;)

I would love to see Wuher or Ponda Baba as the May 4th promo.

Considering the end of CW this year a CW exclusive for may 4th would be a good tribute to all the show has given to the star wars universe. Maybe a jedi temple guard or a dark version of yoda both would just be reprints of existing parts. Temple guard is just a hood coloured in tan and printed face mask and a normal printed torso and legs. Dark yoda would be a black yoda head with red eyes and a printed body. Maybe the head would have different printing to show the darkness. Just a thought kind of the sort of variants that aren't that hard to do but people want but are unlikely to appear in sets.

I think the next UCS set should be the Jedi Temple, as a farewell to the Clone Wars.

That'd be great! A fitting farewell but then again all 6 star wars films have sets made of them every year! CW TV show may have ended but that's not to say Lego will stop making CW sets alongside rebels and the 7+ films series. The show has enough credibility and is well known enough for sets to sell for years to come! There has been no official confirmation that Lego CW sets will end this year. I reckon one of the usual summer exclusives will be CW.The pattern since 2009 for summer exclusive sets is a CW one and either a PT, OT or EU. So we may get one last CW set as a summer store exclusive like the star hopper last year, pre viszla's fighter the year before. It would be fitting for one of the 2014 summer exclusives to be CW as it is the end of the show.

I'm betting the CW exclusives are done for, and it will be a Rebels set this Summer. Dizknee seems to be distancing themselves from the Clone Wars Saga pretty quickly.

...and the clamoring for Walrus Man and the bartender again already? We're just as likely to get Beru for May the Fourth:

In other words, not at all.

I'm calling it now: My prediction for May the Fourth, (if it's not TC-4) is...

Figrin D'an

Yup. Bandleader of the Modal Nodes.

I like the TW sets and i like the show, but not the figures, if only they had normal heads... Still, apart from that, I do hope we get a few more CW sets, Usually I bricklink the parts though, as I'm not a fan of the figures.

I dont think it is certain. Most likely the May 4th promo will be something else.

That would be very nice indeed. A jedi temple guard can have a yellow lightsaber as well.

Amen to that. I have been waiting for one for years but sadly i doubt Lego will ever release it.

Doubt Lego would release as a promo (which serves to attract sales) an obscure character which kids are very likely not to recognise. But then again Lego have surprised us in the past with their choices.

Why wouldn't Lego release it? I know for a fact that it would sell just as much as the Death Star, if not more.

I think maybe some posters here are in denial of the TCW cancelation affecting future Lego releases. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but... it is highly unlikely that we will ever see TCW content in Lego form again.

Why no more TCW Lego? > The Disney acquisition of last year.

What difference does that make? > Disney wants to push the OT and the upcoming sequel films.

Can you prove this? > No, but they did immediately cancel The Clone Wars and announce a sequel trilogy and suggest a film more spin off films once having purchased Star Wars - none of which are supposed to feature any TCW era characters in any fashion. We can reasonably deduce that Disney aimed to capitalize on both hardcore fans (who love Star Wars no matter what form it takes) as well as those who didn't enjoy the prequel trilogy by continuing the saga.

[shrug] for all we know, TCW may have continued into season 6 but the Lego line may have stopped at season 5 regardless.

The Jedi Temple... there's a chance it (or something similar) could figure into the new films.

Purely speculation since Lego has had a million chances to release it and they havent. You can't make statements such as "I know for a fact" unless you can back it up with a worldwide large scale research/poll/etc. :classic:

You have to remember: Disney is the king of synergy. I mean, they release a book, a sequel, a soundtrack, costumes, amusement park rides and characters, toys, video games, TV shows, broadway shows, and more in support of a property... If they cancelled TCW, you can bet there's something about the rights or distribution that made it inconvenient for them to provide the usual carpet bombing of related media and merchandise profitably for them.

...and subsequently, we're most likely about to get a flood of Rebels goodies in place of Clone Wars.

After a brief chat to a Lego employee last week I doubt that TC-4 will be the May 4th Promo figure... they clearly stated that any TRUS exclusives are just that and won't be stocked by Lego (hanse they won't have any polybags in at any time) so I doubt they'd just stock up on them for May 4th as some kind of non-exclusive second chance to own.

I couldn't call what they'd put out though... that yellow Luke from the DK book surprised the crap out of me!

Bwwaaa haaa haaaa!! Are you serious? How old are you?

OT trumps PT+EU almost every time, in the general broad sense. And specifically, the Death Star is far far far more popular, iconic and widely known than the jedi temple. How could you even consider it might be the other way around?

Opinion is not fact. Lego's target audience are children remember. Jedi are the most popular group amongst children plus if there is a lot of Jedi (interesting minifigures) and the huge temple that they've seen throughout 6 seasons of clone wars and 3 movies plus if they include some enemies and a smaller vehicle for them. To children PT and CW are the best as although the OT has aged well it is far less dynamic in colour grading and visual imagery and would appear quite dated to youngsters raised on vivid cartoons, videogames and visual effects light years ahead of the late 1900s. Heck my favourite is OT but I enjoy CW equally (much more than the PT definitely). My point is that if Lego made a temple with a lot of play features and a decent interior plus about 12 figures then kids would go crazy over it! Temples would fly off the shelves mark my words. I hate that I'm part of a fandom where some devalue anything that isn't circa 1977-1983. Some of you guys are just like the doctor who classicists and the hobbit haters. You refuse to judge a work of film or TV(sequel, prequel whatever) on it's own merit just because it isn't a carbon (frozen? See what I did there?) copy of the original Film/TV show of the same franchise. On topic a Jedi Temple would work.

Now that Disney owns the license I would seriously doubt there will ever be a Jedi temple. Do you have the research and sales figures that tell both Disney and TLG what sells to children? Do you have the impact study of releasing a set that is the site of of child massacre? Mickey wouldn't touch that with a 100 ft wand, frozen or not.

Sets you want, sets you think we'll see, discussion of whether or not your set concept makes sense, discussion of whether or not TLG will release your set concept, discussion of what set concepts are acceptable by TLG standards: Does. Not. Belong. Here. Last warning. Stay on topic!
