TheBrickAvenger Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Hi everyone, I just show you my entry for a contest organized by the French Forum Brickpirate, the goal was to be a monument of Lorraine in Architecture style. So I chose the Douaumont Ossuary, a national cemetery, which was created after the battle of Verdun. It has a long cloister of nearly 137 meters with approximately 130,000 graves for unknown German and French soldiers. In front of the ossuary is a huge cemetery of more than 16,000 graves of French soldiers. Official Website Douaumont Ossuary par TheBrickAvenger, sur Flickr Gallerie Brickshelf I hope you will like it ! :D TheBrickAvenger. Quote
eurotrash Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Somber theme, but you've definitely captured the essence of the original. Well done. Thanks for sharing it with us! Quote
jluck Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 very unique take on building. I love the use of the hands for the flag as well as the plates wedged between studs! Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Very nice mini build there 'TheBrickAvenger' and Brick On ! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Nice build. It looks very peaceful, as it should (besides being a reminder about not so nice history). My favourite detail is the flag with minifig hands. Quote
