Newbie question motorizing 8285 with 8287

Hello, first of all, I am Tim, 26 years old and I recently had to assemble my old Lego because my mother wanted to sell it (probably not going to happen anymore). I found it a lot more enjoyable than I imagined it would be, so I decided to buy a newer lego set. I decided to buy the 8285, simply because I think it looks very good. Although most people here feel like it doesn't have enough functions and stuff, for a newtimer like me I think it'll be fine.

The set is being delivered tomorrow, and the guy I bought it from also included an engine, the 8287. I asked him about it and he said he never used it because there was no manual included of how to get it in there. He never really searched for a guide on the internet because (I think) he suffers from dyslexia. So I tried looking for a manual of some kind but all i could find was this shady website where I had to download an .exe file to download the manual.. I even tried it, had to peel my eyes for about 10 minutes to avoid spam and unnescecary stuff and in the end.. no manual. http://www.brickinstructions.com/lego_instructions/set/8287/Motor_Set was the page.

So well basically, does anybody here know where I can find a manual? Hi there, first of all wellcome back from dark ages :)

I managed to find Building Instructions for B model of 8285 set, where on a page 33 of this file you get the way to attach the motor.

ah cool, yeah I tried looking for the manual of the engine itself, but apparently it's in the manual opf the 8285 :D Haha silly.

Too bad it can't be used in the A model though, or can it?

Officially not, probably, but try imagining where/how (I don't have this set) the motor can be used. And with some modifications you could get some functions motorized.

Alright, well depending on how full my hands are with building the standard model, I'll probably try to get something working eventually :) Can't wait for the set to arrive!
