With the threat of Victor finally gone, the people of Nadur are able to return to their homeland, where the process of re-construction has begun!

Not only are they concerned about building back their houses, but also the prestige of Historica. So the people of Nadur have commissioned a huge statue, commemorating the brave knights of Historica.

Building the roof!

My inital plan was just to re-build the village, but after re-reading the rules I decided to throw a statue in there. I was pleasantly surprised with how he turned out! I'm not entirely happy with the landscaping, I think I bit off more than I could chew size-wise! I'd also like your opinions as to how the lime green worked. The main reason I added it was because I had way too little green and also because my original (miniature) depiction of the village I used the color.

Anyway, C&C welcome! I'm thinking about doing another entry to make up for the lousiness of this one!

Nice technique with the hands for the straw roof! I think the way you applied the lime green looks fine. It does add color variation and breaks up the normal green.

Wow! This diorama is really well done, I am impressed by all the details you've put in it :classic:

My only small complaint is that the waterfall seems a bit oversized compared to the stream at the front, but maybe its very deep there instead?

Why haven't you used those cows before :oh: My favorite section is the building of the roof, it looks very realistic and is something you don't often see created in LEGO castle construction scenes

The statue adds a nice touch as well; however, the head looks a little odd to me, great work on the sword though  I like the lime green in the landscaping and the stream/waterfall.

I think the rockwork could be improved, the top looks rather flat. Knowing your piece limitations I would suggest only having the rock outcropping extend across the left half of the build so you have pieces to make that section a bit taller/irregular at the top. Overall an excellent build :classic:

Nice MOC! I love the use of hands for a thatched roof, and would love to see that house completed.

Thanks! I have quite a few hands but I'm not sure I have that many... and stacking them like that is quite time-consuming!

Thanks Masa! I'm glad to hear that about the lime green.

Thanks Gideon! You're right about the stream, I hadn't realized how small it was until I checked it out! It certainly tapers out a bit abruptly! Guess those cows have been drinking too much...

Thanks SK! :look: I have used the cows once or twice, but yeah not that often. Maybe because I had them pushed to the back of my drawer? I actually have one more...

Yeah, I'm not so happy with the top of the rock either, I actually wasn't running out of rock so much as out of normal (grey) bricks (for the back supporting wall), and the worst was that the only reason I was running out was because I had been using them carelessly! ... so I just finished off as fast as I could. The initial reason for the rock going all across was that the original Nadur MOC also had rock all across the back. Of course... that was like three times as high...

That was also the reason for the waterfall too.

Anyway, thanks to all of you! I kind of thought the MOC wasn't really that good - mainly because the different parts just didn't seem to go together - but thanks for the comments!

Love all the activities going on in this moc. Especially the guy who's carving the door and the ones making the roof! Also nice touch of foliage near the river and further away it's more sandy.
